The boat outing

Phina, Eva, Patrick's mother, and grandmother had visited the adjacent island. They spent hours conversing and having fun with the island's people. It was astounding how content the inhabitants of those islands were with their essential, almost impoverished lives. The kids appeared content and joyful. Some of them live in tiny dwellings without running water or electricity. Others' homes need more quality furniture. They like to sit on floor mats or the sand. Sure, dwellings are content even though they resemble huts.

Even though there were single-story homes and bungalows, seeing how everyone led contented, straightforward lives were fascinating. Everyone looked out for one another and knew their neighbors.

They produced some excellent, delectable fish and were told stories by one of the families they sat down to talk with about the island's ancestors and most influential individuals.
