Fear

Gabriella Thompson was sitting in her office chair, turning it back and forth while holding a black pen between her thumb and index finger.

All she could think about was one person and the previous day's incident.

She was still having trouble believing what had happened the day before. She was aware that her father would eventually learn about what had transpired. However, she must ensure he remains unaware until she resolves the situation. Her reckless passion had shattered his lifelong plan. She will be done for; therefore, she needs to come up with an explanation in case he finds out. There'd be no one to step in for her. Her mother, who had consistently defended her against her father, was ill and not well at home.

As she carefully considered her options, she gently tapped her long heel on the ground.
