Xing Jue rushed to the medical hall and found it full of injured disciples. Xing Jue casually glanced at them and thought to himself, It seems that the Gale Pavilion is really not peaceful. He'd already deduced from their wounds that most of them had been injured by martial skills.

However, there were so many injured disciples that Xing Jue couldn't find Si Yan at all. It wasn't until his two roommates arrived with him that he finally found the place where Si Yan was being treated. However, Si Yan was sleeping soundly in the lounge at the moment.

"Elder, is he alright?" Xing Jue asked the medical elder in the lounge anxiously.

"It's nothing serious. It's just some superficial injuries. You can take him with you now." The elder smiled at Xing Jue and turned to walk out of the lounge.

"Is this what you meant by he might not be here?" Xing Jue glanced at the disciple who had told him about Si Yan's injuries before. This disciple had described them as very serious, as if Si Yan was on the verge of death.

"Hehe, wasn't I afraid that you wouldn't come?" The disciple scratched his head in embarrassment and chuckled.

"Xing Jue, you're here?" At that moment, Si Yan was suddenly awakened by their voice. He quickly sat up, wanting to get out of bed.

"Si Yan, don't move," Xing Jue said caringly as he hurried over to his bedside to help him up.

"I'm fine. It's just some flesh wounds. The doctor said I'll be fine in a few days," Si Yan said with a smile.

Looking at Si Yan's fractured leg, Xing Jue remained silent and simply smiled. To be honest, he felt a little guilty. His friend wouldn't have been so badly hurt if he hadn't just left him there.

"Si Yan, let me carry you back." After being silent for a moment, Xing Jue slowly carried him on his back and walked toward the attic where they lived.

The attic they lived in was the worst place for outer pavilion disciples to reside. There were already a lot of people here, but at the moment, it was crowded with people.

"Why are there so many people?" Xing Jue asked, staring at the crowd ahead of him.

"Don't tell me they're back again?" A disciple asked, his voice filled with fear.

"Hmph, good!" Xing Jue, on the other hand, was not afraid at all and even quickened his pace, charging toward the crowd.

"Move, move, move!"

"What are you doing?!" Xing Jue was fine when he was far away, but when he got closer, he realized that there were hundreds of disciples gathered in front of their attic! These fellows were occupying their space.

"Xing Jue's back!" A disciple who also lived in the attic shouted after rushing through the crowd.

Upon hearing his name, everyone looked at him enviously, with some even appearing to worship him.

At a loss as to what was going on, Xing Jue felt a chill in his heart as they stared at him one by one. What are you doing? he wondered.

"Xing Jue, you're amazing! I admire you so much!" Before he could react, two beautiful young women rushed out from the crowd. Grabbing his arms, they shook him from side to side, their eyes flashing with amorous gazes. They completely disregarded Si Yan's safety as he hung on Xing Jue's back.

Xing Jue was stunned. He had no idea what was going on and was at a loss as to what to do.

"How audacious!" A furious roar rang out from the doorway. Looking over, he realized it was an outer pavilion elder.

Seeing this elder standing at the door, he felt that something was wrong. How could such an ordinary place like theirs possibly be graced by the presence of an outer pavilion elder? Could it be that someone had reported him for stealing contribution points? But that couldn't be it. If that were the case, why would these people look at him so admiringly?

"Is this little friend Xing Jue? I've been waiting for you for a long time." With a warm smile on his face, the elder spoke to him in a kind tone.

"What can I do for you, Elder?" Xing Jue asked, confused.

"Someone is looking for you. Let's talk inside," the elder said with a smile and walked into the house.

Helpless, Xing Jue had to put Si Yan down. After straightening his robe, he followed him in.

However, what awaited him was more shocking. In the small hall, dozens of elders were seated, two of whom he recognized.

What puzzled him the most was that they were all holding gifts of various kinds, and when they saw him, they actually surrounded him enthusiastically. Xing Jue was momentarily stunned. What is going on?

"Alright, everyone, don't scare little friend Xing Jue." At that moment, one of the elders spoke up. He was none other than the one who'd been holding the announcement in front of the Cultivation Tower.

"Little friend Xing Jue, please have a seat." The elder smiled at him.

"May I ask what brings you all here?" Xing Jue didn't stand on ceremony. He plopped himself down on one of the few chairs in the room.

Although everyone present was an elder, when it came to strength, most of them were only at the Martial Monarch level, so he wasn't afraid of them.

"Actually, we're all here for the same purpose, and that is to take little friend Xing Jue as our disciple," said the elder who'd met Xing Jue at the entrance of the Cultivation Tower.

There were not only twenty thousand disciples in the outer pavilion of the Gale Pavilion, but also more than a thousand elders. Most of these elders had also been disciples of the outer pavilion. Because they hadn't been able to enter the inner pavilion, and because they were getting on in years, they had applied to become elders after reaching the Martial Monarch realm.

Cultivation in the Gale Pavilion was free. There were no regulations that stated who was to be someone's master and who was to be someone's disciple. Everyone cultivated on their own, and the elders only maintained order.

However, if disciples got along well with elders, they could indeed enter a master-disciple relationship, as Feng Ji and Lu Zhan had before. Of course, these elders also wanted to take on a somewhat outstanding disciple.

The news of Xing Jue killing a mid-tier high-rank Demonic Beast in the Cultivation Tower had spread throughout the outer pavilion today. Therefore, the elders who hadn't yet taken on any disciples had their eyes set on Xing Jue. They'd specifically come here, wanting to take him as their disciple. After all, everyone hoped to be able to receive an excellent disciple.

"Oh? I'm really sorry, but I already have a master," Xing Jue refused firmly.

"It doesn't matter if you already have one. I don't mind," one of the elders suddenly said.

"I don't mind either," another elder hurriedly added. Afterward, more and more elders nodded their heads in agreement. These people were like they were competing for some sort of treasure.

"But I do," Xing Jue shook his head helplessly and replied firmly. He thought to himself, You old fellows, even the best among you is only an early-rank Martial Lord. And you actually want to take me on as your disciple? What can you even teach me? This is really shameless.

"Uh…" Xing Jue's words choked everyone up, and they were rendered speechless.

"Hmph, such ignorance!" Finally, unable to stand his arrogance any longer, someone turned and left. Afterward, everyone followed suit, some even muttering curses under their breaths. They completely forgot their manners as elders, making him both amused and exasperated.

After the elders had left, one person remained behind. He was a middle-aged man who didn't look that old.

"Elder, why aren't you leaving?" Xing Jue sized him up and asked with a smile.

He thought to himself, Why did he become an elder at such a young age? At his age, if he works hard, he should still have a good future in the Gale Pavilion. Why is he an outer pavilion elder?

"Haha, I know what you are thinking, little friend Xing Jue. This bunch of incompetent people are nothing but Martial Monarchs. They want to take you as their disciple because they've taken a liking to your potential. In the future, when you enter the inner pavilion, they'll be able to benefit from being your master. Therefore, it's perfectly reasonable for you to refuse them."

"However, I'm different because I'm not here to take you on as my own disciple. Instead, I'm here on someone else's behalf." The middle-aged elder spoke slowly, a hint of pride on his face the entire time.

"I wonder who the elder is referring to?" Xing Jue asked curiously.

"The Second Elder of the Gale Pavilion's Inner Pavilion." The middle-aged man raised his eyebrows confidently as if Xing Jue would definitely agree after hearing this name.

"It's not that I'm being arrogant, but I truly already have a master." However, he refused firmly once again.

"The Second Elder is a Martial God!" The middle-aged man quickly added upon hearing his refusal.

"Oh? It seems that you still don't understand. I don't care about strength. It's just that I really can't take on another master," he said resolutely.

He was actually quite tempted by the Second Elder's identity. After all, he would be entering the inner pavilion sooner or later. If he became the disciple of the Second Elder, the special treatment he would receive in the future would be self-evident.

However, Xing Jue was simply too grateful to Old Feng. Even though Old Feng couldn't teach him anything, he wouldn't be here without him! Therefore, Xing Jue had secretly decided that Old Feng would be his only master from the day he acknowledged him as his teacher.

"Haha, I do admire your respect for your master, little friend Xing Jue. However, this is truly a rare opportunity for you. Why don't you consider it?" the elder said, a smile still on his face.

"There's no need for that. It's impossible," Xing Jue said with a helpless expression.

"Oh? In that case, I hope you won't regret it in the future." Seeing that Xing Jue had rejected him again, the elder's expression darkened. Heaving a sigh, he flicked his sleeves and strode away.

"Farewell, Elder." Xing Jue stood up and said loudly, without a trace of fear on his childish face.

After the elder had left, Si Yan and the others hurried in. Even some of the other disciples whom he didn't know wanted to join in the fun, but Si Yan and the others shut the door on them.

"Xing Jue, how was it? Did you become that elder's disciple?" Si Yan asked excitedly, hopping over to him on one foot without even asking anyone to carry him.

He'd already learned about what had happened from outside the door. While he admired Xing Jue's strength, he'd also been curious whether he would agree to the offer or not.

"Nope," he replied with a smile, picking up the teacup on the table and taking a sip.

"No way?! Xing Jue, there are so many people who'd do anything to become an elder's disciple, but they won't accept them. Yet here you are—an offer came knocking, and you turned it down?" A disciple at the early-rank Martial Master realm said in disbelief.

"What do you know? With his strength at the early-rank Martial Monarch realm, he'll be entering the inner pavilion sooner or later. It was the right choice for him not to accept those old fellows," Si Yan said, defending him.

"Uh, right, hehe…" Hearing his words, the disciple finally came to a sudden realization and chuckled awkwardly.

"Alright, you guys should go to bed early. I'll take you to watch a good show tomorrow." Putting down his teacup, he walked toward his room.

Back in his room, he opened the window and discovered that the sky had gradually darkened. Gazing at the luxurious palaces in the distance, he muttered to himself, "She must be there, too."
