Prologue - A Question to be Answered

The world has many big questions, most of which have no answer. People wonder if there are other life forms hidden within the forever expanding universe, others wonder if there are any hidden on our very own planet. People also wonder if world peace will ever be achieved. The further our minds grow, the more curious we humans become, and the more questions form. One of these very questions is,"What are dreams?"

I've asked this question myself. So many times that I couldn't tell you how much I dwell on this. They say every dream has a meaning, no matter how simple, no matter how far fetched it may be. The thing is, if every dream has a meaning, then what exactly are dreams? Are they warnings? Are they giving us advice? How come some people can control them, and others can't?

These are all questions that have been asked by many people in the past, and even the present. But these are not the questions that I'm worried about. The question I ask myself the most is, "Why do some of them feel so real?" This question also leads to more, such as, "What if dreams aren't what we think they are?"

Have you ever had a dream, one so… life like, that it makes you wonder whether or not you're dreaming? What about one that makes you feel like your dreams are a part of something bigger, something that's been meddled with by a source of higher power? Well, I'm here to tell you that perhaps it's true, maybe there are other factors that lie within our dreams. Who knows, maybe the biggest secret of our universe lies within the very few seconds our brain produces ecstasy while we're asleep…
