I woke up on my soft bed, rubbing my aching head, the head ache was just much. I turned to my left as Jane walked into my room, with an aspirin and a glass of water in her hands
"Drink... and spill." She ordered me, this time, I didn't push it, I was tired and besides, she's my best friend, she deserves to know Right? I drank the aspirin and sat walked over to my room sofa
"So.. What happened?" Jane asked
"I saw Henry today." I stated and she frowned
"Wait, what? You met Henry? That scumbag? What did you do to him?" She asked curiously.
"I just slapped him when he kissed me, eww.." I said and she frowned
"Just a slap? Hump! If I were you, I would had kicked his balls and taught him a bitter lesson." Jane remarked with irritation
"Come on Jane, it's not the end of the world you know," I assured her
"Then.. What about your date?" She asked and I frowned angrily
"He is not my date, he is my boss." I stated and she giggled crossing her legs
"So.. What happened?" She asked and I swallowed heavily
"Look, promise me you won't breath a word of this to anyone." I requested holding her palms in mine
"Why?" She asked confused
"Just promise me first." I frowned at her and she let out a heavy sigh
"Okay, okay," she said
"You know, when my boss took me out, he took me to a lawyer, to get a..ah.. Contract marriage?" I stated more like a question
"Wow... Abby... Oh, my gosh!" She exclaimed hugging me tight
"Keep it down young lady, someone might hear you." I whispered
"Oh my god, I'm just so happy for you Abby, you're one lucky babe, so.. When are you going? Or do we start packing now?" She was getting giddy making me smile
"Well.. I told him I will think about it first." I said and shrugged, there's nothing bad about that right? Besides he took me unaware.
"You told him what? Oh come on Abby, he might find another girl, he might think you're playing games.." Jane flared up, I shook my head, really Jane? Is that all what she's good for?
"Look Jane, you don't act like my friend anymore, the Jane I knew will not advise me to jump into the hands of a wealthy billionaire just because he's famous, can you just think what effect this marriage will have on me? After what Henry did to me you still advise me to jump to Damien Blacks just because he's famous?" A tear slid down my cheeks as Jane's expression softened
"I'm sorry baby girl, I'm sorry, I wasn't thinking straight please forgive me?" Jane pleaded as we embraced each other. I was happy she's back to being Jane now
"I forgive you." I said as we laughed.
Damien's POV
I was so pissed off, how could she? Who did she think she is to reject me? I sighed as I took off my shoes and fell heavily on my bed. Abby Jones, no matter what you do, I must have you, I thought to myself as a smirk appeared on my lips. I had never felt this way for any woman before but on my first day meeting with Abby everything changed
"She's mine, why can't she accept it!" I angrily ranted as I punched my table hard. My phone rang , I peered at the screen, it's Fred, I frowned and picked up the call
"Are you nuts?" I yelled at him "I warned you not to disturb me today." I reminded hoarsely
"Well.. You have a business meeting in 5 minutes." He stated
"What company is that?" I asked
"A company from.. Japan." Yeah, I sighed, it was a one million contract with one of the big companies in Japan
"Okay, I will be there soon." I notified him as I took a warm shower and put on my jacket and polo shirt.
The next day...
I walked to my office, I couldn't sleep properly yesterday, it's just like she caught me at the tail, I wanted to phone her so badly, to hear her lovely voice again but i can't bring myself to do it.
"Good morning sir," My secretary, james greeted as I nodded to him
"Send me the record of yesterday's data from every Golden. T. Company. I said to him, he nodded and left. Immediately he left, my door parted as Daisy walked in.
She was on a short revealing dress that barely covered her body
"What is wrong with you? Are you so stupid to appear naked in presence of my employees?" I asked angrily, this lady is playing with fire, she'll soon know how it burns
"Oh come on D, not like you care or something." She said seating down and crossing her leg over the other.
"I warned you last time and you thought that was an empty threat?" I asked in a murderous tone making her gulp
"I came here cuz your grandfather said we're having dinner at the Black's Mansion." She informed and I nodded without looking at her
"Now get out!" I ordered
"You see.. D, I think we should..."
"I said get out!" I yelled at her as she stood up and walked over to the door sending me a flying kiss
"What a piece of trash." I lamented as Fred walked in staring at Daisy's a** I smirked, never changed.
"Hey, what brought you here?" I asked as he comported himself immediately
"That's no good way to treat a sexy woman." He pointed out
"Well, I don't need her." I replied him angrily
"I see, you can use her as a sex slave then." I banged my desk in anger
"Should I throw you out as well, Mr. Blacks?" I cautioned as he lifted his hands above his head
"Okay, okay, I just brought you the search you were looking for." He said as he handed me a document
"What's it about?" I asked still typing on my system
"She's alive." Fred said in a soft tone
"She? Who?" I asked
"Mariana." He said and I stopped typing, I swallowed hard... Can this be true? She's really alive?
