"Umm—"
Midori hesitated, standing right in front of the classroom door with Eric. Her usual confidence seemed to waver for a moment, as if she was unsure of what to say next.
A few steps behind them, Youta—the original protagonist—watched the scene unfold with an uneasy expression. His gaze lingered on Midori, clearly unsettled by how quickly she had rushed toward Eric.
"Hmmm?" Eric tilted his head slightly, waiting for Midori to say whatever was on her mind.
She had rushed over so suddenly, yet now she hesitated, her lips slightly parted as if searching for the right words.
"Well… good job yesterday," Midori finally said, though her expression made it obvious that this wasn't what she had originally intended to say.
"Uh… good job to you too," Eric replied awkwardly, unsure how else to respond. He waited for a moment, but when she didn't say anything more, he turned back toward the classroom door, intending to head inside.
