trail towards Chloe's people

Aron took of in the early morning toward the spot were Chloe was rescued. After that tracking the members of Chloe's cave started.

As they scanned the area they found small human traces all around. They saw a few bunny's around but nothing special for this team. Aron didn't get any xp for killing the bunny's any more still he killed them for the possibility of a level 1 heart crystal.

After two hours of tracking they found a dead human body. It was fresh and Aron was sure the bunny's killed this poor guy.

Chloe did run towards the corpse and was shocked. She was supposed to be dead as well if Aron and his team were not there to save her.

Aron and his team gathered some rocks to cover up the body of this young men. Chloe was looking what they were doing. Aron told her they will cover up the body so the rest will not be eaten by animals.

This was a surprise for Chloe, they didn't know him and still they did this much already for the dead.

Aron was still thinking that they should take a shovel next time because you never know what you might find.

After 15 minutes they were tracking again and the traces were not good. It seemed the people who walked this trail speeded up the pase and dropped several items. Aron just tossed them in his spatial bag.

Just a few 100 meters away Kim spotted a human body again. This time it was an older woman. Aron now sure that the group of travellers was attacked asked to mark the spot so they could bury her on the way back.

Aron now walking towards Chloe and asking her to jump on his back. So they could speed up the look for her people. Chloe didn't mind she remembered yesterday's speed of travel and was sure Aron did hold back still for the rest of the team.

Little did she know that Aron was hoping she would level up with the bunny's they killed along the way. Sadly she was still level 1 and this made Aron wonder if it was all the systems doing of leveling up or something else.

In the next hour they found two more elderly people who passed away due to bunny's attacking. Aron now saw smoke in the distance of a huge fire place.

Aron: let's push a bit more towards the fire over there. We can rest at that fire and eat some food.

Everyone agreed and when they got closer to the fire they saw 30+ bunny's trying to pass the fire. Behind the fire was a small cave entrance, a human could just fit if he or she were to climb up first for 3 meters.

Aron now dropping Chloe summoned his mana sword and used his inspect skill. He did see two messages popping up but ignoring the for the moment and started stabbing the bunny's.

Aron: Jack tount a few bunny's on to you. Don't mind the bunny's on me for now. Rest start killing the bunny's on Jack as soon as possible. Kim focus heals on Jack unless I tell you that I need heals. No bunny is above level 5. This should give you only a bit of xp.

Before Aron was done saying this 10 bunny's got killed. The bunny's now noticed that a lot of their friends died turned around and felt the aura of Aron and couldn't help but tremble. Still they thought if we hit him together we might have a chance.

Just before 6 of the 24 bunny's went charging towards Aron they turned towards Jack, confusing the bunny's that were rushing towards Aron. Aron of course taking advantage of this stabbed 8 more bunny's before any of them could hit him.

Aron now with 10 bunny's on him got hit... -5 health. Aron couldn't help but laugh he now had 1995 health left. Before he needed to stab a bunny two times but at the start of the fight he needed only one hit giving him plenty of mana reserves for this fight.

He even did a [small heal] on Jack to see if he noticed any difference between heals from Kim or him.

Jack: Aron do you have to much time left that your healing me? Just kill those stupid things already. I can't wait to barbecue some of them for lunch.

Aron: oke, I will kill them. Just know that you will be cooking.

After just 5 minutes all bunny's were dead and finally Chloe leveled up. Aron storing 24 out of the 34 killed bunny's was looking at Jack how he would cook them.

Chloe and Kim now going as close as they possibility could towards the cave entrance. Chloe was desperately looking for signs of her family and the people who she lived with all her life.

The 4 dead bodies they found on the way was already a grim reminder for her that this world was unforgiving. A few years back there were only a few bunny's and all around level 2 maximum level 3. After the meteorite impact the bunny's started to get stronger.

Now the average level of a bunny was 5. They also multiplying really fast. It was one of the reasons they wanted to move because the onslaught of bunny's were talking it's toll on the elders that hunted in the past. The new hunters were to weak to kill a level 5 bunny.

What Chloe just witnessed was just a massive massacre of bunny's, probably if she didn't pick up any bunny's yesterday Aron and his team would left the corpse as they were killed.

Jack now done with roasting his first bunny did give it to Aron. Aron now looking at the half burnt meat took only the good parts and tossed the rest in the fire. Chloe seeing this was again perplexed how easy everyone was tossing away food as if it were nothing.

Chloe: Why are you all tossing away so much food? You know eating that wouldn't kill you. So next time give it to me please.

Aron: Don't worry about food, we have plenty so only eat the good parts. On that note you suck at cooking Jack. Don't burn all bunny's please.

The rest of the team now laughing including Jack. This got the attention of the people that were hiding in the cave.
