Chapter 125
Cassius advanced with the royal knights trailing behind him, his sword dripping with the blood of the Lycan. When he was young, he used to find this place beautiful. He would run through it with his mother chasing after him, laughing. After playing hide and seek on the island, he would pick seashells with his mother. Most times, they'd swim in the ocean, feeling blessed by it.
He didn't say a word as the mermaids stepped aside, giving way to Deborah. Her head tilted to the side as she gazed at him, her skin as pale as falling snow.
The bitterness of anger gathered in his chest as he held the sword tightly. Deborah's eyes fell on the bloody sword, and she smiled.
"I see you've been busy," Deborah said.
"Where is Anastasia?" Cassius asked.
"You came here to stop the ritual from happening?" Deborah scoffed.
"Where is she?!" Cassius closed the distance, grabbing her neck.
