Chapter 144
"You found her already?" Drusilla and Madeline hurried to her. "Oh, this doesn't look good."
"She's really Anastasia," Madeline muttered.
"I don't think she recognizes us," Drusilla said.
Aeris took another step closer, stretching her hand toward Anastasia. She wanted to reach out to her and tell her who she really was.
She bent down, pulling Anastasia into a warm hug. "It's okay."
Anastasia hissed; her skin felt cold, so cold like death.
As Aeris patted her head, she felt something blunt dig into her skin. Her eyes widened, and she gasped, trying to break free, but Anastasia's grip was firm.
Aeris cried out, feeling Anastasia's hand near her heart. Anastasia was about to pull it out, and she would be dead. One wrong move, and she was gone, so she remained still.
Drusilla walked behind her and dug a stake through Anastasia's back. She fell to the ground unconscious, and Aeris stumbled back.
