The Imperial Family [1]

Jenny's POV

"What could the young master be doing, I wonder?"

He ordered me to bring some herbs, poisons, and chemical tools and told me to stand guard. Thinking about it, he has been acting strangely; he has become cold and distant, far from that crying child. He has changed.

"Damn it, what has he brought now, of all times?"

Third Person POV

Jenny gritted her teeth and tried to force a smile, then spoke.

"I greet Prince Aegon. May I speak with you for a moment, if it is possible?"

Aegon was frowning at Jenny, who skillfully blocked the entrance to Ash's room, but he quickly smiled.

"I have missed my older brother; I haven't seen him in a while."

'How dare he call himself his brother after all he has done to him, that son of a bitch, if only he weren't a prince.'

He only comes to the young master Ash when he is angry and wants to vent his anger on him or seeks amusement by humiliating him. In both cases, Ash will be tortured.

Aegon spoke confidently, as if he wasn't guessing, but was filled with certainty. Jenny was very upset by this, but she continued to speak calmly.

Aegon's expression changed immediately.

"I wanted to take the easy way, but that is not the case."

Jenny's mouth dropped at Aegon's cold words before she quickly closed it.

"What did you expect? Since the two were brothers in name only, did you expect some sort of brotherly bond, even if it was as small as a speck of dust? Nonsense."

Aegon, the second prince and legitimate son, was only concerned that Ash, the illegitimate son and his inferior in the family, might take the throne. That is why he tortured him, wanting to instill fear in him and keep him under his wing. If that was impossible, he was willing to kill Ash.

Jenny began to think quickly. She had to find a way to stop Aegon while keeping Ash out of trouble.

Jenny looked coldly, and Aegon smiled and approached Ash's room door.

Jenny stood in the doorway and shook her head.

"You cannot enter."

Jenny insisted and prevented Aegon from entering.

"A dog should not bark at its master. Move."

...

"You know this won't change anything, right?"

"It would be better if you went back you cannot enter today."

Jenny said firmly. After a long sigh from Aegon, his servant Patrick stepped forward. He was a S-rank Awakened, about two meters tall and muscular.

Patrick threatened Jenny, glaring fiercely.

"What are you staring at, you idiot?"

Immediately after Jenny's words, Patrick swung his fist.

Thwap-!

Jenny's body swayed as her face shook sideways.

However, her feet remained in place, not moving an inch.

She wiped the blood flowing from her lips and looked at Patrick, who stood behind Aegon.

Orders from the young master must be carried out.

...

"You really won't back down, huh? I guess it's good to clean up another corpse today. Patrick, you don't need to hold back for fear of killing it."

"Understood."

A red aura erupted from Patrick's body as Jenny laughed coldly. It was a phenomenon that occurred when a martial artist used aura.

He began directing punches at Gini that were much harder and rougher.

Jenny didn't even try to avoid a single punch.

Although she was also Awakened, she didn't use any of her abilities and allowed herself to be beaten. If she dodged one, it might affect Ash. It could also be used as an excuse for Aegon to attack.

During this situation, Jenny's eyes sparkled as she thought.

'If I kill Aegon now, there will be a big problem. Ash might be okay, but it would be difficult for Jenny to guarantee her life, the Emperor would never sit idly by if one of his family's pets (one of his children) were killed.'

But she couldn't just sit there and watch. Killing Aegon would be best for everyone here.

After making her decision,

Jenny was about to act when.

Whoosh-!

The door burst open. It was Ash. Patrick and Aegon looked at Ash at the same time.

At that moment, the continuous punching stopped.

Jenny smiled and stumbled, avoiding the attack.

Ash spoke.

"What the hell is going on here!?"
