[Dracula's Throne Hall – Tepes Castle]
The ancient black marble pillars of Tepes Castle trembled beneath the weight of the gathering storm outside. Dark red moonlight filtered through the stained glass windows, casting an ominous glow across the grand hall.
At the end of the hall, upon a towering black throne carved from obsidian and bone, sat Vald Dracula Tepes—the King of Vampires.
His crimson eyes burned beneath the shadow of his long black cloak. His silver-white hair fell loosely across his shoulders. His pale, aristocratic face was marked with cold fury beneath the dim light.
The sharp echo of armored footsteps rang through the hall.
Clang. Clang. Clang.
Three vampire generals knelt at the base of the steps beneath the throne. Their crimson eyes flickered beneath the shadow of their black helmets.
Vald's gaze darkened.
"Where are they?"
His voice was low. Cold.
The lead general—Sebastian Von Helsing—bowed his head. His long silver hair cascaded across his armored shoulder as his crimson eyes narrowed faintly.
"We've searched the Eastern and Western territories, Your Majesty." Sebastian's voice was sharp and controlled. "There's no trace of them."
Vald's crimson gaze darkened.
"You mean to tell me…" His voice sharpened dangerously. "That the daughters of two of the highest clans in the Vampire Court simply vanished?"
Sebastian's gaze lowered faintly.
"Yes, Your Majesty."
Vald's crimson gaze sharpened dangerously.
"Unacceptable."
Sebastian's breath sharpened.
"Shall we mobilize the Death Guard?"
Vald's gaze darkened.
"No."
Sebastian's crimson eyes narrowed faintly.
"Then—"
Suddenly—
The towering black doors at the entrance of the throne hall creaked open.
Clang!
A tall figure emerged through the shadow of the doors.
A woman.
She was dressed in a long black dress embroidered with crimson thread. Her long, wavy silver hair fell across her shoulders. Her pale crimson eyes gleamed beneath the flickering light.
Vald's crimson gaze sharpened.
"Natalia."
Natalia Von Helsing—Violet Snow's personal maid and daughter of the right hand of the Vampire King—approached the throne.
She knelt at the base of the steps.
"My King." Natalia's voice was calm.
"You've come back empty-handed." Vald's gaze narrowed.
Natalia's crimson eyes darkened.
"Not entirely."
Vald's breath sharpened faintly.
"Explain."
Natalia's pale lips curved faintly.
"I've found traces of them."
Vald's crimson gaze sharpened.
"Where?"
Natalia's crimson gaze gleamed beneath the dark light.
"In the human world."
Vald's breath sharpened.
"Impossible."
Natalia's gaze narrowed faintly.
"And yet…"
Natalia's pale fingers lifted toward her neck.
Slowly—
She drew a thin black chain from beneath her collar.
Attached to the chain was a single crimson gemstone—pulsing faintly with dark light.
Vald's gaze darkened.
"That's—"
Natalia's pale lips curved faintly.
"Violet's blood essence."
Sebastian's crimson gaze narrowed sharply.
"How did you acquire this?"
Natalia's gaze sharpened faintly.
"I found it near the border between the human and vampire worlds."
Vald's gaze narrowed dangerously.
"What does this mean?"
Natalia's crimson gaze darkened.
"It means someone crossed the boundary between worlds."
Sebastian's breath sharpened faintly.
"That's impossible. Only those of direct royal blood can open the boundary."
Natalia's pale lips curved faintly.
"Unless…"
Vald's gaze sharpened.
"Unless what?"
Natalia's crimson gaze gleamed beneath the dark light.
"Unless someone opened the gate from the inside."
Sebastian's breath sharpened.
"That would mean—"
Vald's gaze darkened.
"Someone from the vampire court betrayed us."
Sebastian's breath sharpened.
"Who would dare—"
Natalia's crimson gaze narrowed faintly.
"That… I haven't confirmed yet."
Vald's breath sharpened.
"Enough."
Vald's gaze darkened dangerously.
"Bring me the Council."
Sebastian's breath sharpened faintly.
"My King—"
Vald's crimson gaze burned dangerously.
"I don't care if it's the elders or the nobles."
Vald's gaze darkened.
"If anyone is hiding information about Violet and Ruby's disappearance—"
His pale fingers curled across the armrest of his throne.
"—I will personally tear it from them."
Sebastian's crimson gaze sharpened faintly.
"Understood."
Sebastian's body blurred into black mist—disappearing into the dark haze of the throne hall.
Natalia's crimson gaze narrowed faintly.
"What will you do now?"
Vald's gaze darkened.
"If Violet and Ruby have crossed into the human world…"
His crimson eyes burned beneath the dark haze.
"…then the human responsible will pay the price."
Natalia's gaze narrowed faintly.
"And what if Violet left willingly?"
Vald's gaze sharpened.
"She wouldn't."
Natalia's pale lips curved faintly.
"Wouldn't she?"
Vald's breath sharpened. His crimson gaze darkened.
"Find her."
Natalia's crimson gaze narrowed.
"And if I find her with someone?"
Vald's gaze sharpened dangerously.
"Then kill them."
Suddenly—
A dark crimson sigil ignited beneath the throne.
The dark haze surrounding the throne hall trembled beneath the pressure of the aura.
Natalia's crimson gaze darkened faintly.
"Understood."
Suddenly—
Natalia's body blurred into black mist—disappearing into the dark haze of the hall.
Vald's breath sharpened faintly beneath the cold light.
His crimson gaze darkened beneath the dark haze.
"Victor…"
Vald's pale fingers curled across the armrest of his throne.
"If you took her from me…"
A dark pulse erupted from beneath his feet.
"…I'll make you regret it."
