A plan

Lisa silently watched him as he pulled out a chair and sat besides her.

He then got a second plate and filled it with food before looking at her with those magnetic grey eyes.

"Hi." He casually greeted her.

"Hi." Lisa replied, suddenly feeling tongue tied to ask the question that was swirling around in her head.

"I came to have lunch with you. I hope you don't mind the company." Lian explained as he tore his eyes from her and looked at his plate.

Truth be told, he was a little nervous of her reply or reaction to his sudden appearance and he inwardly hoped that she did not reject him.

"I don't mind the company." Lisa replied honestly as she glanced at him and together, they ate lunch in a peaceful silence.

Lisa ate more than she had eaten in the morning and by the end of the meal, she was full.

She knew his sudden appearance had something to do with the house keeper's call but she was truly glad that he had made the effort to eat lunch with her.

It was something that she appreciated.

"Can we talk about the plan. I could like to know how you are going to help me." Lisa said to him as she watched him prepare to leave.

Lian paused in his movements and turned to look at her. The fierce light in her eyes whenever she thought getting back everything that belonged to her excited him and he was going to do everything in his power to help her get back her position.

"How do you want me to help?" He asked and just as Lisa opened her mouth to answer his question, Lian's phone rang.

He silently mouthed the words 'excuse me' once he saw the caller ID and Lisa nodded in understanding and he walked away to take the call.

His dad's doctors had called and given him some bad news. Apparently, his dad was in a critical condition and Lian's mood instantly darkened once he finished the call.

He was so worried.

"I am sorry but I have to go. Send a detailed plan to my assistant and he will assist you well in my absence." Lian explained and Lisa blankly nodded.

Why did she have the feeling that he was going to be gone for a while?

"Okay." She said and watched him walk away from her.

After Lian Que was gone, Lisa got to work and wrote a detailed plan for her revenge against her evil stepsister and stepmom and then sent the email to Lian's assistant whose name she later learned was Sam.

She had all the electronics she wanted provided to her by Nana but after spending a good amount of time online, Lisa got bored.

It was around midnight when she got into bed and Lian Que was not yet back.

She had been right and she tightly hugged her pillow and fell asleep.

At least she had gotten him to help her with her plans. That was a milestone.

Lisa hated to admit that she missed him but, she did. Very much.

"Could we go any faster?" Lian asked the pilot that was driving his private jet. It had been three hours since he climbed into the jet but he had not yet arrived at his destination.

"This is the fastest we can go Sir but if it offers a little comfort, we will be landing in ten minutes." The driver replied and Lian sighed softly as he wiped his sweaty palms on a handkerchief.

The last time he had been so worried about someone's well-being was when he had been informed that Lisa had been kidnapped.

He had nearly gone berserk as he tirelessly searched for two full weeks until he had found her.

Now, one of the other most important people in his life was not well and Lian was so worried.

He knew worrying wasn't going to solve anything but he just couldn't help it.

His dad was his biggest role model and his heart could certainly be broken if something were to happen to him.

Lian rushed out of the jet once it landed in the vast compound of his dad's island residence.

He took long yet elegant strides towards the front door of the massive mansion.

The house staff were surprised to see him hurriedly climbing the staircase.

Lian knocked on his dad's bedroom door that was on the second floor of the three floored mansion.

After waiting for a while and getting no response, Lian pushed the door open and stepped inside the room.

Much to his dismay, the room was empty and the bed was well made.

He walked out and took the lift back to the first floor.

"Where is my father?" He asked one of the staff after a brief greeting.

"Old master Que is in the green house, tending to his plants." The young maid replied and Lian muttered his thanks before he rushed off in the direction of the green house.

The scene that meant his eyes once he opened the door to green house greatly easied his worry.

"Dad?" He called out as he approached the sixty year old man that was seated on a small bench with a tiny pair of pilers that he was using to snip off something on a rose plant.

The old man turned and faced him before breaking into a big smile that lit up his stormy grey eyes that seemed to have a hint of mischief in them all the time.

"Come here son." He beckoned Lian to come closer.

Lian approached his old man and was surprised when he received a potted flower plant.

"Thanks." He said, his voice lightly laced with scrutiny as he looked at the plant.

Lian knew his dad too well. He was one to rarely give out his flowers or plants to anyone.

"Your welcome. Promise to take care of it." His dad said as he stood up.

"Yes, I will." Lian replied seriously as he still observed the bright coloured red roses in his arms.

"Wait dad, I got a call from your doctors, telling me that you were not well." Lian said as he skeptically looked at his dad's face.

"Oh, I am fine." The old man leisurely threw his hand in the air to dismiss the statement.

"Then why did they call me?" Lian asked and his dad smirked, the mischief in his eyes coming forth.

"I told them to tell you that I was sick so that you could have to come." The old man explained and Lian lightly glared at him for making him so worried.

"Then what is the real reason you called me here, Dad?" He asked.

"That...is a surprise." The old man replied with his eyes gleaming as he looked at his son.
