Tap, tap, tap…
Hancock's bare feet touched the ground, her elegant brows furrowing as she kicked off the remaining high heel.
Now barefoot, she stepped lightly on the fallen leaves.
Elder Nyonba gulped hard, unable to look away from her crystal-clear jade-like feet—a dangerous urge to worship them creeping into her mind.
The Empress's charm knew no boundaries—it bewitched both men and women, young and old alike.
"Ahhh! It hurts!"
Weevil gripped the embedded high heel, yanking it out with brute force.
A fountain of blood sprayed from his chin, soaking the earth beneath him.
Yet, his massive muscles squirmed, slowly closing the wound on their own.
"Mom, she hurt me! Can I kill her now?"
"No! Capture her alive."
"Okay, then…" Weevil pouted but obeyed, gripping his long blade without a care.
He spun it wildly, stirring up a violent whirlwind.
With Weevil at the center, everything around him was dragged into the storm.
A massive century-old tree was ripped from its roots, sucked into the air, and instantly shredded to pieces by Weevil's blade.
"Old woman, let's go!"
Hancock grabbed Elder Nyonba, who had been lifted off the ground by the violent winds. Forcing her way through the storm, she sprinted away.
"You idiot! Stop spinning in circles and chase her down! They're already running away!" Ms. Bakin yelled.
"Oh… got it, Mom."
Hancock leapt from treetop to treetop, swift and graceful like a rabbit.
Weevil, on the other hand, charged like a raging bull, crashing through everything in his path—boulders, trees, wild boars—all reduced to rubble in an instant.
While running, he swung his blade, sending flying slashes to cut Hancock down from above.
Ms. Bakin quickly realized her son wasn't fast enough to catch up.
"Forget it! Go to the city! Let's see if she can ignore her own people!"
"Okay, Mom!"
Without hesitation, Weevil changed direction, charging straight toward the nearest town.
"They're heading for the town..."
Hancock paused atop a tree crown, her bare feet lightly pressing against the branches. She watched Weevil's retreating figure, her beautiful eyes filled with sorrow.
"Don't go, Hebihime," Elder Nyonba urged. "I've already informed Lynch. The most important thing is that you don't get captured before he returns."
No matter how many civilians died, as long as the island pushed for repopulation, the numbers would recover within a decade.
But if something happened to Hancock, the strongest warrior of Amazon Lily, the island—surrounded by enemies—could face total destruction.
"No! I have to go back!" Hancock declared firmly.
"As for you, old woman… you're just a burden. Stay here."
Without a second thought, she abandoned Nyonba and raced back toward the town alone.
…
Half an hour later.
In the burned-out town, Marigold and Sandersonia fell to the ground not knowing whether they were alive or dead.
Blood was bleeding from the corner of Hancock mouth, and Weevil grabbed her white throat and lifted her up in the air, still looking at the mother and son with disdain.
"Mom, mom, I caught her!"
"Hahaha, you did a good job, son." Ms Bakin jumped on Weevil's head and sighed: "You're really strong, Hancock."
"If it weren't for your useless sisters slowing you down, capturing you wouldn't have been so difficult."
"Despicable." The Empress clenched her silver teeth and snorted coldly: "Lynch will never let you go."
"Hah! Still trying to scare me with the Emperor of the West Blue?"
Ms Bakin lowered his head and ordered: "My dear son, kill those two on the ground first. We don't need any interruptions when you take her to the bridal chamber."
"Okay mom." Weevil obeyed the order and raised his sword.
Seeing that the big sword was about to chop off the heads of two people.
At that critical moment, a blazing streak of fire shot down from the sky.
"Fire Punch!"
A deep voice echoed, and a towering pillar of flames engulfed half of Weevil's body.
"AAAHHHHH!!!"
Two agonized screams rang out as Weevil frantically tried to put out the flames, loosening his grip in the process.
Freed from his grasp, Hancock began to fall—
But before she could hit the ground, strong arms caught her.
"Sorry I'm late."
Lynch descended from the sky, holding Hancock firmly in his embrace.
"Lynch..." She clung to him, her voice soft and trembling. "I missed you so much~"
Lynch gently stroked her back, his voice calm but firm.
"Be good. Take care of your sisters. Leave the enemy to me."
With a slight flick of his wrist, a few drops of blood fell into Hancock's mouth. Her pale face instantly regained color, her strength returning.
"Master Lynch's order~ I understand~"
She nodded obediently, stepping aside to tend to her sisters.
Gone was the cold, untouchable Empress—in her place stood a woman who looked like a devoted wife and loving mother.
As the flames faded, they revealed Ms. Bakin and Weevil, their eyebrows and hair completely burned off.
Lynch had held back his strength, careful not to harm Hancock.
Though they were initially caught off guard, the two had managed to react in time, avoiding serious injuries.
Yet, miraculously, Weevil's beard remained untouched.
Under Ms. Bakin's brainwashing, Weevil saw his beard as proof of being Whitebeard's son more precious than his own life.
The moment the flames hit, his first instinct was to shield it with Armament Haki.
"Pfft~ Hahaha!"
A laugh echoed from the forest as Elder Nyonba emerged, grinning from ear to ear.
"Where did these two roasted eggs come from? They look ridiculous!"
In the sunlight, Weevil and Ms. Bakin's shiny bald heads gleamed, making the sight even more absurd.
Seeing Lynch standing there, she breathed a sigh of relief.
She knew now everything was going to be fine.
"Ahem... Who dares to ambush me?! Are you tired of living?!"
Ms. Bakin coughed, black smoke escaping from her mouth.
When she saw Lynch standing before her, her frail body wobbled, nearly falling off Weevil's back.
"E-Emperor... Lynch?!"
Her voice trembled in disbelief.
"Amazon Lily... is really connected to you?"
This man stood on the same level as Whitebeard, her son's supposed father.
Offending someone like him meant living in constant fear.
Since when did Amazon Lily gain ties to such a powerhouse?
Had she known earlier, had she realized the Empress was involved with Lynch, she never would have dared to come!
"You knew this, and yet you still dared to attack Amazon Lily?"
Lynch's gaze turned icy, his fist igniting in flames.
"N-No, wait! P-Please, hear me out!"
Ms. Bakin suddenly spoke much more fluently, her usual arrogance vanishing in an instant.
"We—we had no idea this was your territory! If we had known, we never would have dared to step foot here!"
She forced a smile, her tone almost pleading.
"It was our mistake! We were blind, and we offended you… But surely, now that we understand, you'll let us leave peacefully, right?"
All she could think about now was how to escape.
As for doing to fight Lynch? What a joke!
This was the Emperor of the West Blue, a man who could suppress an Admiral!
Years ago, he already had the frightening ability to killed Admiral-level fighters in one-on-one combat.
Now, after all these years, his strength was likely on a whole new level.
Her son was strong, but not Admiral-level.
Going against Lynch was like smashing an egg against a rock.
