414 Do You Also Want To Travel?

Lynch also responded by sending back a wave of goodwill from the past.

Yggdrasil the World Tree clearly had some intelligence, though it didn't seem very advanced.

After a short pause, a slow and slightly confused thought came through:

[Sun?]

"No, it's Sun Candle," Lynch replied.

That single sentence seemed to overload Yggdrasil's mind.

Whether it understood or not, thousands of branches began swaying wildly, a spectacular sight, like a child spinning in joy.

It took a while before the tree calmed down again.

[Sun!]

This time, the World Tree sent a clearer thought, two meanings behind the word "sun."

"You're saying… you need the sun?" Lynch looked up at the blazing sky, then paused in thought.

"You mean the Sun God Nika Fruit, don't you?"

Given the world's underlying fate and symbolism, it wouldn't be surprising if something like the World Tree was somehow linked to the Nika Fruit.

After all, a tree needs sunlight, it's a natural instinct written into its very genes.

But Lynch smiled slightly. "I don't have the sun… but I have something even better."

He leapt onto the tree trunk, slit his wrist, and let his hot blood flow over the darkened bark.

The moment his blood touched the trunk, Yggdrasil stirred with excitement.

Its branches danced even more wildly than before.

Swish, swish, swish

Without warning, the World Tree began cutting off several of its thinner branches.

It gently wrapped them together and offered them to Lynch

 A gift in return.

"You want me to eat the branches to regain energy? Then… should I give you more blood in return?"

Lynch looked at the branch in his hand, it was harder than steel.

A black vein appeared on his forehead as he forced a polite smile and handed it back.

"No thanks. I've got plenty of blood. You should keep this good stuff for yourself."

Buzz—

But the World Tree pushed the branches into his arms again, clearly insistent.

"…Alright then. I won't hold back."

Lynch shifted into his Sun Candle form, his massive figure now 800 meters long.

A small black hole opened in his mouth.

With a single inhale, a branch dozens of meters thick and hundreds of meters long was sucked in.

In an instant, it was digested and converted into pure energy, forming fresh blood particles inside his body.

His eyes lit up.

This stuff is more nutritious than expected.

Just one branch held the energy equivalent to a small Sea King.

Seeing Lynch accept its gift, Yggdrasil became even more enthusiastic, cutting off more branches and handing them over like a happy child.

Looking closely, it was clear that the World Tree wasn't cutting itself at random.

The branches it offered were all dead or semi-dead, harvested with care, as if the tree truly knew how to give without harming itself.

Before long, a mountain of branches was piled up in front of Lynch.

Lynch didn't hold back after all, wool comes from sheep.

The blood energy he gained from absorbing the branches was fed right back into the World Tree.

Click—

Click—

After a series of intense exchanges, more than half of the World Tree's outer branches were suddenly gone.

But as the tree absorbed a huge amount of Lynch's blood and essence, the bond between them deepened.

Something had clearly changed.

Boom!

A deep rumble echoed from within the World Tree.

Then, as if overwhelmed, it gently pushed Lynch back with one of its dry, shaking branches.

All the giants nearby froze in place, not daring to breathe, afraid to disturb either the Ancestor Tree… or Mr. Lynch.

Then, under the watchful eyes of the entire giant clan, the World Tree began to glow.

A soft green light spread out from its trunk, quickly covering the entire island.

Just moments ago, New Elbaf had been nothing but bare soil and rocks

Now, grass sprouted in waves, wildflowers bloomed, and all kinds of strange, vibrant West Blue plants shot up from the ground.

These were seeds already hidden in the soil, but under the World Tree's green light, they matured tens of millions of times faster.

Some giants dropped to their knees and buried their faces in the grass, breathing in the fragrance while sobbing.

"The ancestors are revealing themselves!".

At the same time, the once-dark World Tree began to transform.

Blackened, charred bark from the surface war started to fall away in large chunks, revealing smooth, living bark beneath.

Its dry, cracked branches gradually became full and alive again

From root to crown, a deep green spread upward.

As the breeze blew across the land, a single fresh green leaf fluttered into the air.

Soon after, vast clusters of leaves burst into full bloom.

Lynch didn't hold back, he ate all the bark that had peeled off from the World Tree.

It was clean, natural, and packed with energy, enough to match the nourishment of at least 50 Sea Kings.

After a while, the World Tree fully completed its transformation.

Everywhere he looked was now a sea of green. Soft branches swayed gently in the wind, as if the tree itself was celebrating.

Whoosh—

A ten-kilometer-long vine suddenly shot through the air, slicing through it with a sonic boom before plunging into the sea.

Moments later, it lifted out a massive Sea King—over a kilometer long—and gently laid it down in front of Lynch.

"Good girl."

Lynch patted one of the large green leaves and couldn't help but laugh.

Why does this feel like raising a giant husky?

But clearly, this was no simple creature.

Just from that last move, it was obvious: the fully restored World Tree was incredibly powerful.

If Zunesha could crush Jack the Drought with a single swing of its trunk, then this tree was likely in the same league.

As the ancestral tree came back to life, the giants were overwhelmed with joy.

They gathered around the World Tree, dancing wildly in celebration. Their massive bodies swayed and stomped in rhythm, their feet slamming into the ground with loud, thunderous booms.

Loki and Hilda watched the scene with proud smiles.

Soon after, Robin and the others arrived, drawn by the sound and the energy in the air.

"Did that Sea King die from a single strike?"

Reiju stared at the massive creature lying on the ground, its skull pierced clean through, clearly stunned.

This tree… actually had that kind of power?

It wasn't just a tree—it was clearly a guardian deity.

The poor giants had been guarding a treasure left by their ancestors… without ever realizing it.

Lynch stepped forward and gently pushed Robin and the others ahead.

Then, turning to Yggdrasil, he said,

"While I'm gone, you have to listen to them, alright?"

In response, the World Tree waved its massive 10,000-meter-long branch, plucked a few small flowers, and placed them carefully in Robin's arms.

From the spring at its crown, a stream of fresh water burst up like a fountain, playfully spraying a greeting.

The Gion girls were instantly charmed by Yggdrasil's personality.

"He's like an adorable little guy," they giggled.

Then Lynch turned to Enel.

"Hey, do you want to go back to Sky Island?"

"Huh? Why would I want to—"

"Cut the nonsense. Come here. Time for a little test."

Without further explanation, Lynch grabbed Enel and tossed him into the freshwater lake at the top of the World Tree.

Then he sent a mental message to Yggdrasil.

Poof!

In the next second, a powerful jet of water shot straight into the sky

taking Enel with it, who vanished into the clouds.

After soaring for who-knows-how-long, Enel landed gently on the cloud ground of Sky Island.

The water dispersed harmlessly, a smooth, safe landing.

"Hahaha…" Lynch laughed as he watched Enel vanish into the horizon.

Looks like I've got a new way to compete with Bartholomew Kuma.

No matter where someone wanted to go, all it took now was a single thought.

And this method? It was even faster than the speed of Kuma's Paw-Paw Fruit.

"Hey, hey, kid... don't tell me this is the same dead tree we hauled back,"

Golden Lion said, floating in the air with a look of regret.

If he'd known Elbaf had something this amazing, he would've snatched it up years ago.

But now…

Ahem, never mind.

After these past few months together, Golden Lion had come to understand something very clearly:

Lynch's identity... was no longer something ordinary.
