THE KING ARRIVES

     I couldn't get a shut-eye that night; sleep just wouldn't come to me. I tossed and turned, trying to find a comfortable position, but nothing worked. With the first light of dawn, I was already on my feet, wearing my black and brown leather armor, and getting ready to go to Rusty Chalice since there wasn't school today.

After checking on Sura, I left the house, stretched and yawned as I looked up at the sky. A storm was brewing, with dark clouds obscuring the sun. It wasn't the ideal weather, but at least it wasn't unbearably hot.

"Axel," a voice called out to me.

I turned around, scanning the rooftops and the street, but couldn't find the source of the voice. Thinking it was my mind playing tricks on me due to sleeplessness, I continued walking.

"I'm getting crazy…" I whispered to myself. "Hmm…"
