Chapter 2: Escape Plan
***
As realization dawned, Eugene's panic rose to new heights. He frantically looked for a mirror to confirm that it was not merely his imagination. When he finally found one, he gasped in shock. The person staring back was not him, but someone entirely different - Saejin, Seung's younger brother.
He pinched himself, and the person in the mirror mirrored his actions. His confusion grew, and he questioned the reality of the situation. "Is this a dream? How could this be happening?"
Desperately seeking an explanation, Eugene desperately slapped his own cheeks. The stinging pain that followed confirmed that this was no dream. It was all too real. He clutched his hair, overwhelmed by the confusion and panic. "How did I end up in Saejin's body?" he mumbled, his mind racing with questions and disbelief.
"Saejin-ah, what's the matter?" Seung's deep voice rang through the air, sending a shiver down Eugene's spine. "Saejin-ah," he repeated as he embraced Eugene from behind, wrapping his arms tightly around his waist. Trembling, Eugene felt the man's embrace, his grip firm and possessive. As he looked into the mirror, he saw Seung's intense gaze fixated on him, his lips leaving yet another hickey on Eugene's neck. The realization of many more love bites marked all over his body sent a wave of shock through his already overwhelmed mind.
"Leave me alone," Eugene snarled at Seung, his voice filled with venom. However, he was unprepared for the older brother's reaction. Seung grabbed Eugene's jaw and forcefully kissed him. Bile rose in Eugene's throat as he struggled to push him away. "Please, I hate this," he pleaded, feeling nauseous.
Seung took a moment to observe Saejin, noting the hatred in his younger brother's eyes. He didn't like it one bit.
"Saejin-ah, what's wrong?"
With defiance and determination, Eugene's voice quivered with rage as he replied, his body shaking with anger.
"How dare you do this to me!" Eugene's mind raced as he grappled with his new reality. His hatred for Seung was beyond level, considering everything that had happened. Yet, he realized with a sinking feeling that he was now living in Saejin's body. He knew he had to find his own body and return to it, but what if it was already too late? The urgency to find his original body and return to his normal life, however, is complicated by the possibility that his body may have been destroyed in the incident.
"I need to get out of here." Eugene's voice trembled with a mixture of fear and determination. The weight of his situation was becoming unbearably heavy. But was it even possible for him to escape, or was he doomed to remain forever captive inside the body of his tormentor's sibling?
Seung's voice hardened as he spoke to Saejin, his tone dripping with authority. "Saejin-ah," he declared firmly, "I will not tolerate any further misbehavior." His gaze bore into Saejin's eyes, leaving no room for disobedience. The warning was clear - any defiance would be met with swift and severe consequences.
Eugene's mind raced as he considered his options. For the time being, he would have to play along and act as Saejin.
"I saw what you did to that boy," Eugene said, his voice tinged with a hint of apprehension.
Seung's cold gaze met his own, and Eugene felt a shiver run down his spine as the older brother responded.
"Didn't we agree to do it?"
Eugene's heart sank as he realized the sinister truth - these two brothers were capable of terrible deeds. He needs to get away from him, from this place.
"I need to get out of here!" Eugene's voice rang out, his anger and revulsion clear as he realized the depths of the brothers' wickedness and their involvement in orchestrating the accident.
Seung was utterly perplexed by the sudden shift in Saejin's behavior. Earlier in the day, everything had seemed normal, but now his younger brother was inexplicably angry. One of the striking changes he noticed was that Saejin had stopped calling him "hyung," which Saejin used to call him since they were kids. Seung couldn't help but wonder if he had done something to upset his younger brother and cause this abrupt change in attitude and Seung really wanted to know what caused it.
As Eugene frantically searched the house for an escape route, he found himself lost amongst the numerous rooms and hallways. Seung, ever vigilant, trailed behind him, silently keeping guard over his younger brother's every move. Despite his best efforts, futile search came to a dead end, leaving him with no escape. With no other options left, Eugene resignedly decided to wait until the morning and devise a new escape plan to execute at school tomorrow.
During the night, Eugene was surprised to learn that Saejin and Seung share a room and sleep in the same bed. Initially, he had hoped to sleep in one of the unused rooms to maintain some personal space, but Seung firmly denied this request and forced Eugene to sleep in the same bed with him. The idea of sharing a bed with someone who had harmed him sent chills down Eugene's spine as memories of the incident before his accident flooded back to him. He recalled witnessing the two brothers in the empty classroom engaging in acts that brothers should never partake in.
As Eugene laid next to Seung in the brothers' shared bed, the latter was blissfully unaware that the soul of the boy he had pushed from the rooftop now inhabited Saejin's body. Eugene lay there, filled with anger and disgust at the proximity to his assailant. He knew that he would have to bide his time and play the role of Saejin until he found a way to escape and return to his own body.
Seung wrapped his arms tightly around Eugene, drawing him into a warm embrace. The hot breath brushing against Eugene's neck sent a shiver down his spine. Caught off-guard, he found himself unable to protest against the strong hold. This closeness was unfamiliar and intimate, a feeling he had never experienced with anyone before. Was this what brothers typically did to each other?
Eugene's heart raced as Seung's warm lips suddenly touched his neck, causing him to flinch in surprise.
"Can you... not do that?" Eugene managed to stammer, his voice cautious in an attempt to avoid aggravating Seung any further.
Seung, despite his initial confusion and disappointment from the rejection, respected his younger brother's request. Reluctantly, he withdrew his lips from Saejin's neck, his expression visibly puzzled but still maintaining his embrace.
As Eugene closed his eyes and attempted to sleep, he found himself anxiously counting the seconds until the morning would come. He could hardly bear the thought of sharing a bed with Seung any longer and longed for the daylight to arrive so he could begin strategizing his escape.

In the morning, Saejin, or rather Eugene, and Seung walked silently to school together. Eugene, filled with resentment toward Seung, made a conscious decision not to communicate with him, determined to escape and plan his revenge. Seung, sensing his younger brother's lost demeanor, tried to initiate a conversation.
"Saejin-ah," he asked, "Is something troubling you?"
Eugene ignored him and didn't respond.
As they walked to their classroom, Eugene deliberately maintained a significant distance from Seung. The students nearby whispered and cast curious glances in their direction. Some were awestruck to their tall stature and handsome appearance. Seung paid no mind to the gossips, merely continuing his walk until they reached the classroom. Just as they arrived, the teacher entered and commenced the lesson.
In the midst of the lecture, Eugene, driven by his determination to escape, raised his hand, attracting the teacher's attention.
The teacher, pausing briefly in their lecture, turned their attention to Eugene, who had raised his hand.
"Yes, Saejin, what is it?" the teacher asked, a mixture of curiosity and skepticism in his voice.
"Sir, may I be excused to use the toilet?" Eugene responded, his tone cool and composed.
The teacher uttered a simple reply, "Alright, but don't be too long. I'll conduct a quiz later."
Despite his request to visit the toilet, Eugene had a different destination in mind. Rather than heading towards the toilet, he secretly directed his steps towards the gate of the school, his eyes fixed on the escape route.
While he wasn't certain whether the security guard would grant him permission, Eugene was determined to give it a try. And if denied, he was prepared to take another drastic measure; he would leap over the wall.
Eugene's heart sank as he spotted Seung trailing closely behind him, his stern expression a clear indicator that he wasn't about to let his brother slip away. Despite Eugene's attempts to evade him, Seung's grip was firm, preventing any escape.
"Where do you think you're going? The toilet is that way," Seung pointed out, a puzzled expression on his face. "Saejin-ah, what are you planning?" he asked, bewildered by his younger brother's cryptic behavior.
Frustration washed over Eugene as his plan to escape crumbled. With no other viable options, he resigned himself to defeat, knowing that his only choice was to head to the toilet as a facade to evade Seung's suspicion.
"I forgot the way," he said, offering a reasonable excuse for his earlier misdirection.
As Seung seized Eugene's hand and lead the way to the toilet, Eugene felt an overwhelming sense of trepidation. His heart raced and pounded in his chest with a heightened intensity. He could do nothing but let Seung guide him forward, the firmness of his grip leaving no room for resistance.
As they entered the toilet and Seung locked the door behind them, Eugene's trepidation deepened. Seung closed the distance between them and grasped Eugene's chin, forcing him to meet his gaze.
"Now, tell me," Seung demanded, his voice firm, "what is it that you're keeping from me?"
Eugene attempted to create some space, his voice tinged with defiance.
"Please step back," Eugene insisted, leaning away from Seung's grip, his tone firm.
Seung, though outwardly calm, radiated a deep seriousness beneath his composed facade.
"Saejin-ah," he began, his voice steady, "you've been misbehaving lately. Should I punish you?"
Despite Saejin's tall stature, Seung's superior height allowed him to tower over his younger brother, effectively trapping him within his embrace. Without warning, Seung pressed his lips against Saejin's in a rough kiss, a sudden and overpowering display of affection.
Eugene, overwhelmed and uncomfortable, desperately attempted to break free from Seung's tight grip. Despite his efforts, however, he found himself unable to move or escape from Seung's firm embrace. Eugene's initial confusion and bewilderment gave way to a mix of shock and disgust, as he felt the warmth of Seung's lips against his own.
Despite Eugene's struggle for freedom, Seung persisted in his hold, now shifting his attention to Eugene's neck. He began to suck and playfully nibble at the sensitive skin, leaving behind a visible mark of his affection. The sensation was both unwanted and unsettling, only increasing Eugene's discomfort and disgust.
As Seung finally released his hold and admired the mark he had left on Eugene's neck, a proud smirk spreading across his face, Eugene felt a deep sense of despair and distress. Unable to contain his emotions, tears welled up in his eyes as he cast a fierce and angry glare in Seung's direction.
With a mix of anger and humiliation, Eugene hastily left the restroom and made his way back to the classroom. Despite his haste, he could feel Seung trailing closely behind him, unwilling to let him out of sight.
During their lunch break, Seung instructed his brother to wait at a secluded table in the far corner of the cafeteria, leaving him to his own devices as he went to fetch their food. Sensing an opportunity to escape, Eugene seized the moment, silently contemplating his chances of slipping away unnoticed.
Taking advantage of the opportunity, Eugene quickly left the cafeteria and dashed towards the school gate, the adrenaline fueling his steps. Taking advantage of the lunch hour policy allowing students to leave the premises, he swiftly hailed a taxi. With determined resolve, he entered the taxi and headed away from the school, leaving behind the oppressive presence of Seung.
As the taxi driver inquired about Eugene's destination, he hesitated for a moment, torn between going to his own house or a nearby hospital. In that instant, he made a hasty decision and responded, "Take me to a nearby hospital." It was a mere guess on his part, but he believed there was a possibility that his original body could be located within the vicinity of the hospital.
Without wasting any time, Eugene hastily settled his fare with the driver upon reaching the hospital and made a beeline towards the hospital's inquiry desk. With urgency in his voice, he addressed the staff member behind the counter and inquired about a patient named Gil Eugene.
The staff member at the inquiry counter diligently examined Eugene before proceeding to question him further. "What's your relationship to the patient?" she inquired.
"I'm his friend," Eugene offered as his response.
After a brief moment, scanning the list on their computer, the lady provided the information he was seeking. "2nd floor, room 202," she informed him with a serious look.
As Eugene swiftly ascended to the 2nd floor, his heart racing with anticipation, he found room 202. Through the glass window of the door, he caught a glimpse of his own body, a sight that left him utterly heartbroken. Wires and tubes were connected to him, his head and leg encased in a cast. Overwhelmed by a mixture of shock and despair, tears streamed down his face. Alongside his body, his mother was soundly asleep in a chair beside the bed.
His heart was pierced by a mix of sorrow and empathy as he observed his mother, her visage looking weary and pitiful. With great care, Eugene gently pushed open the door, attempting to minimize disturbance. However, his efforts were in vain, as the door emitted a gentle squeak, awakening his mother's weary form. They both met each other's gaze, their eyes filled with tears and emotional distress.
"Who are you?" his mother inquired, her tone carrying a hint of confusion as she observed the unfamiliar young man standing before her. Though he was sporting the same school uniform as her son, she couldn't help but wonder who this stranger was.
Without thinking, Eugene replied softly, "Mom, it's me, Eugene."
