The Phantom’s Game

Ava's fingers tightened around the locket, the weight of its significance pressing down on her as she stood in her dimly lit study. She glanced at Liam, who stood by the window, his eyes scanning the streets below for any sign of danger.

"Are you sure about this?" Liam's voice was low, but it carried a tone of concern.

Ava nodded, her resolve unwavering. "We don't have a choice, Liam. The Phantom knows too much about me—about us. We have to follow the clues, no matter where they lead."

Liam turned to face her, his expression serious. "Then let's not waste any time. What's our first move?"

Ava unfolded the note again, her eyes tracing the elegant script. The message was cryptic, but she had deciphered enough to know it pointed to the old library downtown. She handed the note to Liam.

"We start here. The library. There's something hidden there, something that will lead us to the next clue."

Liam studied the note, then nodded. "Let's go."
