Chapter 45:PWE Royal Rumble!

The first point system round of the tournament had come to an end, and the screen lit up with the names of the ten contestants who had successfully accumulated 30 battle points. The crowd erupted into cheers as the list was displayed, with Ace's girls practically screaming their excitement.

1st - Ace Drago

2nd - Joey Wheeler

3rd - ...

10th - Ralph

The announcer's voice boomed through the speakers, further riling up the audience.

"And there you have it, folks! The top ten trainers who battled their way through the first round with skill and determination! Give them a round of applause!"

The crowd obliged enthusiastically, with Ace catching glimpses of Serena, May, and Dawn waving their arms in the air and shouting his name. He couldn't help but smile.

"Go, Ace!" Serena hollered, cupping her hands around her mouth.

"Show them what you're made of!" May added.

"You're gonna win this tournament for sure!" Dawn beamed.

Ace chuckled softly, waving back at them. "Thanks, guys. I'll do my best!"

The disguised Proton, dressed as the flamboyant announcer, took the microphone and gestured dramatically toward the field. "Ladies and gentlemen, let's keep this excitement rolling! It's time to introduce the next round of this special anniversary tournament!"

The crowd fell silent in anticipation as Proton continued. "This next round will feature a special event, inspired by one of our brand-new games set to release soon—PWE Royal Rumble!"

At the mention of the game, a sudden roar erupted from the male section of the audience. The energy was electric, with cheers so deafening it startled many of the women in the crowd.

"What's PWE?" May asked, glancing curiously at Dawn.

Dawn shrugged, equally confused. "No idea, but the guys seem to love it."

Ace's eyes lit up, a grin spreading across his face. 'No way! PWE? That's like WWE back in my old world!' He could barely contain his excitement, his mind immediately flashing to the epic wrestling matches he used to watch. The likes of John Cena, The Rock, and Roman Reigns came to mind, their battles ingrained in his memory.

Proton smirked beneath his disguise, enjoying the reaction. "For those unfamiliar, PWE Royal Rumble will pit Pokémon against each other in an electrifying wrestling-style battle! Here's how it works: out of the ten participants, only five will advance to the next round. Trainers will send out three Pokémon at a time, forming a tag team. However, here's the twist—you won't be allowed to give them any commands during the battle!"

The audience buzzed with excitement as Proton elaborated. "Your Pokémon must rely on their instincts, skills, and teamwork. Pokémon inside the ring can tag out by high-fiving one of their teammates, just like real wrestlers. The last standing team wins the match and advances!"

The announcer gestured toward the giant screen as the names of the contestants began shuffling. "Now, let's see who will face off in the first matches!"

The screen displayed the randomized matchups, and Ace's heart raced when he saw his name on the second bracket.

Match 2: Ace Drago vs. Kim

Ace smirked as he glanced at the Pokéballs on his belt. "Looks like I'm up against Kim. No problem. I already know which three Pokémon are going into the ring."

The first battle had been nothing short of a spectacle, leaving the audience breathless. Snorlax's Giga Impact had collided with Machamp's Focus Punch in a climactic moment that sent shockwaves through the arena. The sheer force of the impact had the crowd leaning forward, their excitement palpable. When Snorlax sealed the match with a devastating Body Slam, the male audience erupted into cheers, whistling and shouting with unrestrained enthusiasm.

The female spectators, however, shook their heads with wry smiles, their collective thoughts echoing a single sentiment: 'Men.'

The energy in the arena remained electric as the announcer hyped up the next match: Ace versus Kim. The crowd's cheers swelled again as the trainers took their positions.

On Kim's side, Graveler and Nidoqueen stood outside the ring, ready to tag in at a moment's notice. In the center of the ring, Kangaskhan stood tall, its piercing gaze locked on its opponent. The baby Kangaskhan had been safely handed over to Kim, ensuring no distractions for the powerful Pokémon.

On Ace's side, Scizor and Annihilape waited outside the ring, their eyes sharp and focused. In the ring, Nidoking stood firm, its hulking figure radiating power. It met Kangaskhan's glare with one of its own, letting out a low growl that sent shivers through the audience.

The referee raised a hand, signaling the start of the match. "Begin!"

Both Pokémon charged forward, the ground shaking under their weight. Their fists collided with a thunderous crack, each one straining to overpower the other. The crowd roared, the tension in the arena reaching a fever pitch.

Nidoking, with a sudden surge of strength, shoved Kangaskhan backward, breaking the deadlock. It followed up immediately with a Fire Punch, landing a clean hit on Kangaskhan's cheek. The blow was so powerful that Kangaskhan spat in pain, stumbling slightly before regaining its footing.

Kangaskhan's arm glowed brightly as it used Hammer Arm, swinging down its Arm with ferocious force. But Nidoking had anticipated the move, activating Disable just in time. The glowing energy around Kangaskhan's arm dissipated, leaving it wide open.

Seizing the opportunity, Nidoking grabbed Kangaskhan by the arm and slammed it into the ring with a resounding boom. The crowd erupted into cheers as Nidoking roared triumphantly, its dominance clear.

Kangaskhan, battered but determined, crawled to the edge of the ring, barely managing to tap Nidoqueen's hand. As Kangaskhan rolled out of the ring, Nidoqueen leapt in, her eyes blazing with fury.

Nidoqueen lunged at Nidoking, her arm glowing as she prepared to strike using brick break. But Nidoking, unfazed, spun around and caught her fist mid-air with its massive hand. The crowd gasped, their eyes glued to the unfolding drama.

'This Nidoking is insane!' one audience member thought, their mouth agape.

With an almost casual motion, Nidoking pulled Nidoqueen closer and grabbed her by the neck. It unleashed a flurry of Ice Punches, each one landing with bone-chilling precision. Frost began to form on Nidoqueen's face, her movements slowing as she struggled to break free, but Nidoking kept hitting her as he didn't care if he was fighting a male or a female. He was someone who believes in gender equality.

Desperate, Nidoqueen swung her tail, landing a hit on Nidoking's side. But the hulking Pokémon didn't even flinch. It climbed one of the ring's poles, dragging the dazed Nidoqueen along with it.

The audience held their breath as Nidoking paused at the top, pulling Nidoqueen close. To everyone's shock, it made a slicing gesture across its own neck, mimicking a famous wrestling taunt.

"No way… is it going to—?" someone in the crowd muttered.

Before the thought could be finished, Nidoking leapt from the pole, slamming Nidoqueen into the ring with a devastating Choke Slam. Simultaneously, it used Earthquake, the ground quaking beneath their feet. The entire ring shuddered as the crowd exploded into cheers.

"Nidoqueen is unable to battle!" the referee announced.

Kim's Graveler roared in frustration, entering the ring with an intent to avenge its fallen teammate. But Nidoking, still brimming with energy, swatted Graveler aside with a Poison Tail. The blow was so powerful that Graveler skidded across the ring, stunned. Nidoking followed up with a sludge wave, knocking Graveler out instantly.

"Graveler is unable to battle!"

Only Kangaskhan remained. It hesitated, visibly nervous as Nidoking turned its attention toward it. Outside the ring, Scizor and Annihilape grumbled in frustration.

Scizor complained, as if saying. 'Nidoking's hogging all the action!'

Annihilape nodded, crossing its arms as if saying. 'We want in!'

Ace chuckled at their antics. "Don't worry, you'll get your turn. Just enjoy the show for now."

In the ring, Kangaskhan began gathering energy for a Hyper Beam, determined to go down fighting. But Nidoking smirked, its eyes gleaming. It used Disable once more, stopping the attack before it could be unleashed.

The crowd watched in shock as Nidoking grabbed Kangaskhan and used Toxic, forcing the poison into its opponent's mouth. Kangaskhan's roars of pain echoed through the arena as Nidoking lifted it high above its head.

With a final roar, Nidoking unleashed Venoshock, purple lightning coursing through its body and into Kangaskhan as it slamed Kangaskhan into the ground. The energy shattered the ring's floor, leaving the crowd speechless.

When the dust settled, Kangaskhan lay unconscious.

"Kangaskhan is unable to battle! The winner is Nidoking!"

The crowd erupted into deafening cheers, the male audience in particular nearly shaking the stadium with their enthusiasm. The women, though startled by the intensity, couldn't help but acknowledge Nidoking's raw power.

Ace rushed into the ring, throwing his arms around Nidoking. "You were amazing, buddy!"

Nidoking grinned, lifting Ace with one arm while raising its other hand in victory. The crowd's cheers only grew louder as Ace and Nidoking celebrated together, their bond clear for all to see.

Outside the ring, Serena, May, and Dawn cheered the loudest, their pride for Ace shining through.

"That's my Ace!" Serena exclaimed, clapping wildly.

"He's unstoppable!" May added, her voice filled with admiration while Dawn and her Piplup were holding pom poms and were cheering for Ace as well.

Ace's smiled as he waved to the crowd, with Nidoking roaring in triumph.
