After driving for a while, David ultimately chose to turn around at the next exit. Once he exited, he didn't rush back immediately but instead parked the car and got out, standing by the roadside to feel the breeze.

The cool wind seemed to easily awaken one's rationality. David's face was chilled by the breeze, and as he touched it, the icy sensation brought him back to reality. No matter what disturbed his emotions—be it a person or a situation—he needed to return to Emmeline's side.
