Twyla sprinted. Her heart was racing. Her palms were sweating. But worst of all, everything was pitch black. The blindfold made it impossible to see anything. She heard the puppy running something near her but she couldn't pinpoint exactly where. And then she was flying through the air. Turns out, the answer was right in front of her.
Ravens laugh rattled through her pounding brain. Twyla ripped off her blindfold and picked herself off the grass. The dog had the decency to look ashamed. He was supposed to be running next to her and she was supposed to be sensing where he was through their bond. They had collided more often than not.
