Origin Prologue: 1. Childhood Innocent

Three children could be seen running towards the sandy park playground, their laughter echoing through the quiet neighborhood. The afternoon sun cast long shadows as they dashed forward. Leading the group was a young boy with fluffy dark green hair, his eyes bright with excitement.

"Come on, Kacchan, Chicchan!" he called, rallying his friends as he sprinted ahead.

Trailing close behind was a blonde boy with wild, spiky hair, 'Kacchan.' His fierce grin matched his competitive spirit.

"I'm not gonna lose this time, Izuku!" he shouted back, his voice filled with equal determination and excitement.

The third child, 'Chicchan,' was a girl with dark green hair like the first boy, but hers was straight and short rather than his scruffy, fluffy hair. Unlike the two boys, she maintained a calm and composed demeanor, her pace steady as she followed them both.

"Onii-chan, slow down. The park isn't going anywhere, you know?" she said in a flat tone towards Izuku, her older brother.

"Hahaha, I know, I know, Chicchan~," Izuku laughed off her chastising, but he still kept running with his short legs toward the park itself.

On the other hand, Kacchan took the opportunity of the distracted Izuku to dash past him. "See ya at the top, Deku!" he yelled over his shoulder, using the nickname he often teased Izuku with.

Izuku's eyes widened as he realized Kacchan was now ahead. "Hey, no fair!" he cried, pushing himself to run faster. Chicchan shook her head, a small smile playing on her lips as she watched the two boys race each other.

Izuku dashed even harder than before, trying to catch up with the blonde boy's advance while leaving his younger sister behind. Chicchan just stared at the two boys' antics with a slightly annoyed look but soon sighed at it. She was already used to the competitive nature of these two best friends.

Meanwhile, both Izuku and Kacchan continued to race each other. They were neck and neck, trying to be the first to reach the park. Soon, they were getting closer and closer to the park itself, just a few meters away.

They both could see the giant jungle gym from afar. It seemed that both children would reach the park at the same time, resulting in a draw, but Izuku had a wild idea cross his mind in the heat of the moment.

As they were just a few meters away from the entrance of the park, Izuku, with his short legs, leaped with all of his might. Kacchan soon realized what Izuku had just done. He was in shock, mouth wide agape, upon seeing Izuku's leap. The young green-haired boy was in midair as his body propelled forward even faster.

Time seemed to slow down for both of them. Then, Izuku's propelled body passed through the entrance of the park first, but he landed quite roughly, ragdolling for a bit before finally stopping with a heavy thud. He was laid bare on the rough and sandy surface of the park.

"Izuku!" Kacchan shouted in panic. He quickly approached the boy lying on the ground with a distressed and worried expression. When Kacchan finally reached Izuku, he quickly knelt down to check on his condition, only to find a grinning Izuku.

"Hehe... I win...!"

Kacchan could only stare at Izuku in disbelief before smacking his head.

"Ow!" Izuku yelped in pain from being hit on the head by Kacchan. He quickly got up to clutch his throbbing head. "What was that for?!"

"That's for making me worry, idiot!"

"What?! The heck does that mean?"

"I meant what I meant, Deku!"

"Huh?! You're not making sense!"

Both Izuku and Kacchan started bickering with each other, with Kacchan even using Izuku's mocking nickname, 'Deku,' to boot.

Chicchan had just arrived at the park, only to find the two boys butting heads with each other. "What are you guys doing...?" she asked in the same flat tone, with a slight expression of disbelief.

Kacchan crossed his arms and glared at Izuku. "Deku, you're being reckless again!"

Izuku frowned, standing his ground. "I was not! I had it calculated in my head—the risk and the reward and whatnot," he said with an arrogant tone.

Kacchan scoffed, "That was still you being an idiot!"

Izuku retorted quickly, "I'm not an idiot! You're the idiot for not understanding my amazing idea!"

Both boys continued bickering as they butted heads again.

Chicchan sighed, looking at them with a mixture of amusement and exasperation. "Would you guys stop your lover's quarrel?"

Izuku blinked in confusion, pulling back from Kacchan. "Lover's quarrel? What's that?"

Chicchan smirked slightly. "It's something I heard from Mom's soap opera drama. It's basically—"

"Stoooop!"

Before she could explain, Kacchan quickly approached her and clamped his hand over her mouth, stopping her from saying more. Chicchan's words turned into muffled sounds against his hand.

"Don't listen to her, Izuku!" Kacchan said, his face flushed a deep red like a tomato.

Izuku looked at Chicchan, still muffled under Kacchan's hand, with confusion, and then looked back to Kacchan.

"Why is your face red, Kacchan?" Izuku asked innocently, not understanding the implication behind his expression.

His comment made Kacchan's blush deepen. "My face is not red, dumbass!"

"What?! But your face is definitely red!"

"I am not!"

"Yes, you are!"

Chicchan finally managed to pull Kacchan's hand away as he was distracted with another bickering match with Izuku. She had a small smirk on her face. "Onii-chan, you're so clueless."

"What...?" Izuku muttered dumbfoundedly, still confused about what was happening.

"F-forget about it! Let's play the hero game already!" Kacchan quickly changed the subject before Chicchan could explain more about the meaning of her words.

Izuku, still a bit confused at first, then turned excited upon hearing the mention of the hero game.

"That's right!" Izuku exclaimed excitedly. "Since I'm the first to reach the park, I'll be All Might!"

He struck a heroic pose, puffing out his chest proudly and raising both arms to flex his thin, scrawny kid muscles, imitating the signature stance of his favorite hero, All Might, Japan's No. 1 Hero.

Then, he pointed his finger at Kacchan, who still had a slight blush on his face from earlier.

"Kacchan, you'll be Endeavor!" Izuku declared with enthusiasm, selfishly assigning his best friend as the No. 2 Hero, Endeavor.

Kacchan was startled by the sudden attention from Izuku, but could only grumble in irritation. "Fine... I'll be Endeavor this time."

Izuku then turned to Chicchan and pointed at her. "Chicchan, since you're the last to arrive, you'll be the villain this time."

Chicchan deadpanned, "Again? Fine..."

Hearing his sister's agreement made him grin widely. He then quickly ran to the jungle gym and skillfully climbed the metal structure in just a few seconds. Both Kacchan and Chicchan knew what was going to happen as they both had exasperated expressions.

Izuku then posed once again as his favorite hero, All Might, on top of the jungle gym as he pointed his finger to the sky.

"Never fear, citizens... because I'm here!"
