Origin Prologue: 14 [END]. The First Henshin

[The next day]

The morning sun filtered through the shoji screens, casting delicate patterns of light and shadow on the wooden floor. The new day marked the beginning of a new chapter for the Midoriya family in the farming village of Aso.

Inko was already preparing herself for the day. After arriving at their new home last night, she had fallen back into a deep sleep, finding solace in the familiarity of her surroundings.

She was glad that, from what she remembered, both the house's interiors and exteriors had remained the same as before. This continuity made it easier for her to navigate and settle in, especially since this would be their new living space.

The Midoriya grandparents had given Inko and her children their own personal rooms. The house itself was larger than a typical traditional Japanese house, which provided ample space for everyone. Inko recalled her mother-in-law mentioning that the house had been in the Midoriya family for almost 300 years, passed down through generations.

Even so, she was amazed at how well-preserved the house was for something that had been standing for three centuries. The intricate wooden architecture and carefully maintained interiors spoke of a legacy cherished and upheld with care.

Now, she was heading toward her children's personal rooms, hoping to wake them up so they could familiarize themselves with their new home. Their rooms were on the second floor of the house, so she carefully ascended the traditional wooden stairs, mindful of each creak beneath her feet.

She first went to the closest room from the stairs, which was Chisa's room. Fortunately for her children, the upstairs rooms were designed to be more modern, featuring standard swing doors rather than the traditional sliding doors found elsewhere in the house. This blend of old and new would provide a comfortable and practical living space for her kids.

Inko knocked gently on her daughter's door, then also gently pushed it open, stepping inside the cozy room. The soft morning light filtered through the curtains, casting a warm glow over her daughter, still nestled under the covers of her bed.

"Chisa, dear, it's time to wake up," Inko whispered softly, walking over to her bed. She gently nudged her daughter, who stirred and slowly opened her eyes.

"Good morning, Mom..." Chisa mumbled, rubbing her eyes and stretching.

"Good morning, sweetheart. Let's get up and start exploring our new home, okay?"

Chisa nodded sleepily, beginning to sit up. Inko smiled and left the room, closing the door behind her as she made her way to Izuku's room. She hoped that today would bring a sense of excitement and curiosity for her children as they embarked on this new chapter of their lives.

Inko approached Izuku's room, just a few steps down the hall...

But for some reason, she felt there was something odd about her son's room...

She gently knocked on the door before opening it, peering inside to see her son... To her shock, she found him already wide awake...!

Her shock was not only the fact that she had found her son to be awake before she could wake him... but actually because he was acting quite bizarre...!

He was standing in the middle of the room... shirtless!

Facing his desk, which had an open laptop. She had thought that Izuku might have been staying up late to watch his new obsession again and that she would have to scold him for that... but that wasn't the thing that worried her the most...!

The morning sun streamed in from behind his desk, creating a dynamic backlight that illuminated his back figure, casting him in a surreal glow...!

Inko was honestly shocked by the sight before her. She couldn't process what she was seeing. He seemed to don't even hear her knocking or her entering his room, too focused on the light shining upon him.

Her mind raced to find a logical explanation, thinking he might be doing a morning warm-up exercise, but it quickly became evident that was not the case...

After what seemed like an eternity, Izuku finally moved...! He raised and moved his arms into strange gestures and poses that looked more like a dance than an exercise. Before she could make any sense of any of this weird behavior of his...

He suddenly shouted.

"HENSHIN!!!"

The word 'transform' echoed through the room with all the power of his lungs.

Inko was taken aback by the sudden shout, but even more so by the feeling that the air around him had shifted, as if he had an aura surrounding him. It was as if his shout had indeed caused a change in him! And she was here, witnessing it all...!

The aura disappeared as quickly as it had appeared, and Izuku lowered his arms to a normal position. He then turned to face his mother, who was watching him intently from the doorway, seemingly already aware of her presence.

His expression... his visage... it was as if he had found a revelation...!

"Mom. I finally found it..." he said, his voice steady and resolved. "I finally found the answer..."

"Izuku...?" She muttered his name in concern, not understanding what he was talking about. But then... he revealed his answer to her...

To the whole world...!

"If I can't be a hero without a Quirk... I'll create my own power and become one!"

And so began...

The legend of Kamen Rider Deku.
