Chapter 14: Predator and Prey, who wins

The bond blood contract is a seal contract that seals a vampire's desire, ability use, or need for blood. This contract is primarily used on ordinary vampires to keep them from consuming other people's blood or attacking them, so Vampires are unable to accomplish a specific task or use particular powers unless someone gives them permission to do so, such as a vampire is not allowed into someone's house unless they told to enter by the owners.

For example, Joseph was not permitted to use his powers other than self-regeneration unless Ken or Cormac agreed such as sampling blood or drinking it. Only low- and mid-tier vampires who are unable to control their carvings without being bonded like dogs are impacted by this contract. Some vampires considered this as a humiliation and enslavement, while others accepted it in order to fit in with society. However, the high and higher tier vampires no longer employ the blood bond contact.

The upper tiers no longer feel bound by their factors for blood thirst since they have learnt self-control, which is also a necessary skill to regulate the limitation of a Factor without any issues or limitations.

Brandon felt a lot of dread as he saw this guy walk up without using stairs or ladders like him; in this world full of skilled people, he felt weak and ordinary. In this world, there are individuals who do not constantly practice advancement of classes, ranks, and authority; instead, they utilize their powers for specific duties such as doctors, nurses, and other occupations, thus advance in order to have the opportunity to conquer a dungeon or Tears in space.

Brandon merely has the typical elf's physical makeup, which is designed for speed, stamina, and agility; in other words, this body was meant for running and long distance combat. He also had previous experiences as a former soldier, although those were based on instincts rather than the body he was now in. The real reason he needed to bulk up was to enable his new body reach its maximum capacity with the least amount of energy use, in addition to learning to trust his instincts.

Even though he had been training for the past two days, it was insufficient; he would discover this later. With one eye on the pursuer and the other searching for a gap he could exploit in his first run-combat, Brandon rushed up the steps. After that, the brawny threw himself onto the next stairwell, almost tripping over Brandon.

With a shaky hand, Bandon managed to balance himself on the railings that were made to prevent people from sliding down, thanks to his instincts. He couldn't help but smile at the brawny man in the trench coat and asked, half in exhaustion:

"What scandal did I cause this time sir?"

Brawny man removed his hat, revealing his pale facial features with red spotted eyes and a bat-like nose. He smiled, exhibiting his sharp teeth, and responded in a dazed but manageable raspy voice:

"The only scandal that you caused is how the fuck are you still alive right now?"

Perplexed, Brandon enquired:

"What you on about, I am alive aren't I?"

The rugged man chuckled and said,

"We killed you two days, how are you still alive boy I wonder?"

As he stated, a fleeting memory from the original Brandon attacked this one, revealing the moment he was battered by the four assailants. A man with a strong build, milky skin, pointed canine teeth, and red eyes stood out among those around him. He had a mixed British and Dutch dialect, and he was wearing a hood somewhat:

"The boy looks to be near the threshold"

He was a thin man with a long nose that was only visible when he got close to Brandon's body, and he chuckled at the pain that Brandon was crying over. He spoke in a cruel voice:

"Pain is your only salvation, cry more so you can fill the glass of sorrow to attain freedom"

As he spoke, he took out a whip and struck Brandon, who pleaded for help, while the men laughed and laughed.

The brief rush came to an end, and Brandon grinned icily while his body trembled a little and the railing shook:

"I... AM... NOT.... THAT... BOY SACRED LITTLE BOY"

The stocky man chuckled and said,

"Ha scared huh, then why run?"

"Running is essential to fight, it evens the odds in the current battle. Retreat isn't a surrender"

"Heh, explain to me then"

With a smile, Brandon raised his hands and continued,

"It is always great to be in an environment that nobody is dominate in it"

As he stated this, he looked at the hefty man and added:

"Catch me if you can"

Brandon approached the Brawny as he was going for a run tackle, prompting the Brawny man to assault Brandon in a lunge. He had no idea that Brandon had other goals in mind for him instead of his safety, to the brawny man Brandon looked to be doing a reckless attempt.

Brandon went down, sliding between the Brawny man's open legs, then got up from his slide and leaped onto the railing. Which he utilizes as a stepping stone, thanks to his luck and balance he twisted his body toward the brawny man's back as he steps on it.

Brandon jumped by shoving the man down with his feet onto the metal ground, then grabbed the railing to the upper stairs and pushed himself up.

Brandon immediately runs onto the stair's support railing as he performs a parkour move that allows someone to climb the stairs faster by grabbing the railing, jumping over it with your hand holding the railings tight as he pushes both his feet when jumping and lands on the metal stairs, and repeating the process on the other stairs as he continues to runs to escape.

After waking up, Brawny Man switched to predator mode and started chasing Brandon by leaping onto the railings supporting the fire escape ladders and stairs. He pursued Brandon from railing to railing.

However, due to his tenacity and head start following the minor distraction, Brandon reached the roof and ran as fast as he could while continuing to run across it, avoiding obstacles by running past them, running around them, and using a parkour move that allows you to use your hands to support your weight while jumping the obstacles like a leaping frog.

Brawny man followed suit, either smashing or passing through the obstructions on the roof. Brandon didn't look back at the pursuer because he assumed he was close and had a long way to go; he was fast but slightly slower owing to exhaustion and carrying a backpack containing minimal clothes and stuff.

'Brandon, why do you do this to yourself, man?" Really, have your parents not taught you to avoid interacting or working with strangers?'

Brandon ducked under the washing line, which was strung with clothing. Brandon made a mistake that may have ended his life and left him permanently blinded by the blinding side. He was jogging on top of a building, and the washing line of clothes was where the edge of the roof was.

'Damn it'

Brandon used his legs as stop gap hooks to carefully stop himself from sliding off the edge of the roof. Brandon rushed to the right side near the edge and continued running on the roof, looking to the side to see that the brawny man was racing alongside him as he was slightly visible just disguised by the clothes that were draped.

As he ran, the brawny man smirked and looked at Brandon with predatory eyes. He knew Brandon was heading toward the edge, with no building in sight for him to jump on; he had thought he had cornered Brandon with this mistake of his, which nearly killed him, but now another mistake awaits him, upper head.

He laughed and said,

"Boy, I didn't realize how good you were there. But now you will be slain by the surroundings in which you take pride; you know nothing about your environment, which is a weakness in all forms of fighting, and you will lose. Well, the hunt is done, but it was enjoyable while it lasted.

The stocky man grinned and picked up his pace as he spoke, but as he reached the very end, he caught a glimpse of something that startled him. Brandon looked to his left as he ran near the side ends of the building's roof, where he noticed another fire escape staircase.

'What a godsend,' he shouted inwardly as he increased his speed, and then Brandon sprang off, using the building's end walls as a stepping stone to reach the fire escape stairs. From the Brawny man's perspective, it appeared as though he was jumping to his death, yet he was mistaken.

Aiming to land on the metal fire escape stairs, Brandon shimmered in the air, perhaps trying to take flight. As gravity did its work, Brandon did a safe roll as he landed with his feet as a safety measure to avoid his legs from breaking when he lands.

With a safe roll completed, the support railing protected him from falling and sustaining serious injuries when his backpack impacted the support rail. Brandon's body ached from the runs, and he breathed slowly to keep himself from growing weary again. With assistance from the railing, he stood up.

Seeing this, the Brawny man clasped his hands in admiration and surprise as he immediately does the same and jumps toward Brandon's location. Without any safety roll, the Brawny landed on the support railing with a loud boom that shook the structure slightly, knocking Brandon out of his reverie and causing him to keep his grip on the support with tight hands.

He proceeded to clasp his hands with a chill inducing smile as he removed his coat, revealing who he was. He was a tall, slender monster with pale skin that revealed rips and bones. His ears were spiky and sharp, sprouting up like horns. Beneath his trench coat, the rugged man was little more than a skinny fiend.

Exhausted and lacking in energy, Brandon could only appear to be sweating and drooling; he was completely looked emotionless.

He is so exhausted that he can only ask one question:

"What are you?"

The scrawny man said,

"I am but a humble vampire hungry and frail, choosing to turn his body into a predator by force"

Grinning, Brandon continued, saying:

"So you are a Wright or Wendigo?"

The slender man added, breaking off his smile,

"I am but a servant of between, I was sent to kill the child that has seen"

Perplexed by this shift in attitude, Brandon inquired:

"I didn't see anything or remember what I saw"

The scrawny man nodded and continued,

"It is imperative to kill, as the other pursues evidence and revenge." "I will deliver," he said, as his eyes went dull and shone like a pulse when seen by a monitor that was encoded into his DNA forever.

The skinny man tossed the coat aside and approached the boy's exhausted body cautiously. As he continued to wipe away the perspiration and phlegm, Brandon was still exhausted and kept thinking the same thing:

"Come on in, the prey is frail."

He told himself this as a mantra to help him zone. The idea was easy but risky for him because he lacked powers and access to internal energy, the skinny guy snarled, spit streaming from his mouth. Half-breed or Husk was on the menu for a short time before it was modified to accommodate new consumers.

As he struggles to maintain his balance and uses the wall as leverage, Brandon used the connecting wall and support to assist himself in climbing up the railing. Brandon mockingly stated:

"Come on, gray zombie I am delicious. Come on!"

When the skinny guy heard this, he took the jeers as an indication that the prey was getting ready to bolt. Due to his hunger and urge to pursue prey in the same way that vampires used to prey on the world's races when they were still creatures without food for months or years.

The Vampires have a feature known as the Blood faze, which allows them to manipulate personal blood energy as well as the blood of other living beings.

According to a weakness known as the "blood faze," vampires can become uncontrollably powerful if their blood supply isn't replenished, despite the fact that vampires need it to function more effectively.

progressively transforming you into a crazed monster that can be a Wright or Wendigo, and gradually transforming into the formidable savages that they once were. The thin man had expended too much energy in hunting the youngster; the ring he wore protected him from the sun's harmful rays, but it had a time limit that he forgot about the limit all thanks to the Blood faze.

The time restriction was almost up, but the monster didn't care since he wanted the meal that had caused him so much difficulty hunting.

The wild had taken the place of his wisdom and mundaneness. The tiny man prepared his body for a lunge by getting on all fours and looking at his target, who was now gently walking on top of the thin support railing to prevent falling while balancing which was bit hard due to exhaustion. He slowly walked and reached the middle of the bar or railing.

Brandon felt cautious and scared at the same time since he had put himself in an unusual circumstance. The way he stood on the railing made it appear as if he was about to jump, as he balanced himself to prevent falling. This wasn't going to last long, as he crouched slightly, as if he was taunting the predator to go after him, which it did.

Despite his first misgivings, the slender being lunged at him, preparing to tear him to pieces. The prey was not trapped; rather, it was putting up a trap. Brandon let go from his balance and steadied himself by pushing off the fire escape staircase he was standing on with his hands wide spread.

The creature rushed, its torso now at Brandon's body, but its claws missed Brandon's torso. utilizing gravity and enclosing the torso in his hands like a hug.

The first jump was a ruse and a pretext for Brandon to launch his assault; it was a kind of somersault while he tightly hugged his insides. Thanks to gravity and his strategy, Brandon was able to execute a high-risk, deadly maneuver utilized on tight ropes in wrestling that he likes to refer to as the Somersault German buckle fall suplex.

It was intended to slam the opponent to the ground.

Brandon was now using this technique to slam his opponent to the ground below.

"A little bit of veneration has been attained as I die, huh?"
