Traveling through portals reminded Lex how dangerous motion sickness could be. Lex felt as if every single atom of his body was pulled apart and rearranged again in a span of seconds.
His stomach turned upside down and he felt like throwing up. But before he could do that, his feet landed on solid ground.
Lex's eyes took a couple of seconds to get adjusted to his new surroundings. He found himself standing in a room exactly similar to the one he left behind. Only one observable change was present.
A man was waiting for them in their new surroundings.
He was dressed in plain black trousers and a shirt. Nothing about him stood out except for the fact that he kept his head bowed a little.
"Miss Rio Kowalski?" the man asked.
"That's me," Rio said.
"Pleased to meet you. Please head out of the room through that door. A lot of people are arriving today so we will be transporting everyone after two days. Till then, enjoy your stay in the city."
