Chapter 31: Level Up! Instant Power!
The elephant opened the box, and a bright light flashed out, illuminating the dark cavern.
The light was so intense that Valkor had to shield his eyes, his body trembling with anticipation.
As the light faded, Valkor felt a strange sensation coursing through his body, like a surge of energy awakening his cells.
His body began to tremble, his muscles flexing with a newfound power.
But as the moments passed, Valkor realized that his strength hadn't increased.
He felt...different, but he couldn't quite put his paw on what had changed.
He looked at the elephant, seeking answers, but the elephant's expression was enigmatic.
"Unfortunately, we can't have more time," the elephant spoke, its voice low and urgent. "Valkor, you must go now."
And with that, Valkor disappeared, reappearing outside the cavern in a flash of light.
The lynx was waiting for him, its eyes full of expectant.
"Valkor, you're back!" the lynx exclaimed. "Did you succeed? Do you know the exit?"
Valkor turned to face the lynx, his eyes gleaming with a newfound intensity.
He walked towards the lynx, his paws making barely a sound on the forest floor.
The lynx felt a shiver run down its spine, sensing something was wrong, but before it could move, Valkor's claws gripped its throat.
"Ahh yes, cat," Valkor hissed, his voice dripping with malice. "I got what I wanted, and now it's time for you to get what you wanted."
And with a swift motion, Valkor bit into the lynx's head, closing his jaw in a shut.
The lynx's body went limp, its eyes glazing over as Valkor devoured its entire form.
The sound of crunching bones and tearing flesh filled the air, a gruesome symphony that echoed through the forest.
As Valkor finished his meal, he felt a surge of strength flow through his body, a small but significant increase in power.
He laughed, the sound rumbling deep in his chest, and his laughter turned into thunderous roars that shook the trees. "Now, time for my freedom!" he bellowed, his voice echoing through the mountains.
He paused think about the bears back home, the shook his head, "Meh dead weigh".
With a mighty leap, Valkor vanished into the forest, his massive form disappearing into the trees.
The sound of his roars faded into the distance.

Inside the temple, a massive white elephant sat on a throne-like chair, its fur glistening in the dim light.
Suddenly, a slithering sound filled the room, and the elephant spoke in a calm, gentle voice. "Your act was truly impressive. You made both the wolves almost soil themselves."
A sleek white snake with blue markings slithered up the elephant's leg, wrapping itself around its body.
The snake's voice was old and smooth, like honey dripping from a spoon. "Yeesssssss, now give me what you promised."
The elephant waved its hand, and a giant golden heart appeared on the floor.
The snake left the elephant's body and devoured the heart in seconds, its body glowing with an otherworldly light.
Then, it looked at the elephant with piercing eyes. "Why are you doing this, you have nothing to gain from it?"
The elephant laughed, its voice rumbling like thunder. "I can gain entertainment... and a bit of something I've been looking for."
The snake's eyes narrowed, its body tensing like a coiled spring. "But how will you ensure they will meet?"
The elephant's voice was sure and steady. "Because what I gave them will help them grow stronger. The more they grow, the more their cores will be attracted to each other. They will fight a bloody battle until one devours the other."
The snake's eyes gleamed with curiosity, its body leaning in closer. "And what is your end game?" it asked, its voice like a rusty gate.
The elephant's paw slammed down on the snake, its voice booming like a drum. "You ask too many questions!"

Days had passed, and Malakai's excitement was palpable. His tail wagged furiously as he sniffed the air, his ears perked up with anticipation.

He was so close to leveling up for the first time, and he could smell it in the wind.
His quest progress was at 099/100, and he knew that one more hunt would seal the deal.
He had never felt so alive. As they journeyed on, they encountered more beasts, but
Malakai had realized that predators gave more AP, while herbivores gave minimal points.
But they were getting closer to the exit, and the thrill of the hunt was exhilarating. They stopped in front of a serene lake, its surface reflecting the sun's warm rays.
Malakai's instincts were on high alert, his senses tingling. "Mama, I can smell it, it's right-" he began, but before he could finish, a creature burst out of the water, its jaws wide open, ready to strike.
Malakai's heart raced as the creature narrowly missed his head, its teeth snapping shut with a loud crash. His sister yelped in surprise, her tail tucked between her legs.
But Akira was quick on her paws, her speed and agility allowing her to pin the creature to the ground.
It was over in a flash, the creature lying limp on the ground, after a bit on the head.
Akira turned to her son, her voice firm but worried. "Always keep your wits about you, Malakai. The wilds are full of surprises."
But Malakai was too stoked to listen. He was thrilled that a beast had shown up at the perfect moment, ready to be defeated and help him level up.
His tail wagged wildly as he gazed at the creature's lifeless body. "Yes! That's what I'm talking about!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with excitement.
Malakai moved closer to the dead croc, his tail wagging excitedly as he sniffed the lifeless body.
He noticed the scales were hard and went for the stomach, his teeth sinking into the soft flesh.
Akira couldn't help but sigh, shaking her head as she watched her son devour the creature.
She didn't stop him, though - she knew that this was all part of his growth and development.
Malakai ate hungrily, his jaws tearing into the flesh with ease. And even before finishing, he heard something.

The sound echoed in his mind, and Malakai felt a surge of energy inside his body.
It was as if his body had been dead before, and now it was coming back to life.
He felt a rejuvenating feeling, like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders.
He opened half of his status to check, his eyes scanning the numbers and letters that appeared in front of him.

Malakai noticed that his stats had all increased by one, and his eyes widened in excitement.
He saw that his bite force had increased to 800, and he wondered if it had something to do with his strength.
Before, he had 7 points on strength, and his bite force was 700. Now, he had 8 points on strength, and his bite force was 800.
He was happy with this progression, feeling like he was getting stronger by the minute.
As he continued to eat, Malakai felt his body changing. His muscles were growing, his senses becoming more acute. He could feel his fur growing thicker, his claws sharpening.
Another message appeared again as he finished his meal.
