Chapter 55: Understanding Spells

The dragon's words echoed in Malakai's mind as he tried to grasp the concept of spells. "You see, since you already seem to have manifested your magical abilities before the advanced stage, then you should know that to activate those abilities, you have to control your Mana to that part of the body," the dragon explained.

Malakai's eyes widened as he remembered his fight with the serpent. He had done the same thing, pushing his Mana into his paws so he could stab them into the ground and make spikes come out.

The dragon continued, "So, unlike magical abilities, spells not only need your Mana but your mind as well. To know what spell you're going to chant, you need to call out with an incantation or hand gestures, and some even do it without all those, as they are more powerful abd skilled, like me." The dragon said the last part with a grin, making Malakai feel both impressed and intimidated.
