Chapter 67: The Transformation

Malakai's eyes fluttered open, and he was met with the dim, cold air of the stone cell. He tried to stand, but his legs wobbled beneath him, like a newborn fawn taking its first steps. He felt a strange, tingling sensation in his muscles, as if they were awakening from a long slumber.

As he struggled to find his balance, Malakai noticed that his body felt different. His legs seemed longer, his paws thicker, and his fur...his fur was a brilliant white, like freshly fallen snow. He looked down and saw that his paws were covered in a thick, white fur, and his claws were now a shiny black, like polished obsidian.

But it was his legs that truly surprised him. They were muscular, like thick, corded ropes, and they seemed to ripple with power as he moved. Malakai's mind reeled as he stumbled forward, his paws making soft, scraping sounds on the cold stone floor.
