Malakai's eyes narrowed, his ears folding back in annoyance. The human's words were like a slow-burning fire, igniting a fury within him. He took a step back, his tail tensing, the crystals on it hardening into razor-sharp shards.
"Where is she, you frail human?" Malakai's voice was deep and terrifying, the sound waves vibrating through the air. But the human merely laughed, his eyes glinting with amusement.
"Oh, my, you managed to control yourself, such a feat for a young wolf like you," the human said, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "Your type is rowdy and full of carnage. I'm impressed you didn't immediately resort to mindless violence."
Malakai's patience was wearing thin. He didn't have time for this human's games. With a swift motion, his tail shot out, the crystal shards propelling towards the human like a hail of ice.
