Chapter 104: Ninth Floor II

Malakai pounced, his body a blur of motion as he aimed to meet the armored figure head-on.

But the purple humanoid was no slouch, its agility belied by its bulky armor. With a swift bend of its body, it executed a perfect backflip, avoiding Malakai's attack by mere inches.

Malakai's paws hit the ground with a loud thud, his claws scrabbling against the stone floor as he slid to a stop. He didn't wait, immediately looking back over his shoulder to track the humanoid's movement.

On the other side of the room, Akira took a different approach. Instead of pouncing, she strode purposefully towards her opponent, her eyes fixed intently on the armor. Her intent was clear - she aimed to test the strength of the armor, to see if it was as formidable as it looked.

Her opponent, sensing her approach, stood its ground, machete at the ready. Akira didn't flinch, her tail twitching slightly as she closed the distance.
