Chapter 122: Vesper And Amari

Malakai and Vesper caught up to Akira, Amari, and the Three Guardians, who were waiting in a clearing.

The Grand City was visible in the distance, its buildings a jagged silhouette against the sky.

Malakai gazed at the city, his eyes tracing the outline of the structures. He had introduced Vesper to the pack, but they still regarded her warily.

His mother, Akira, had accepted Vesper, but Amari's anger lingered, albeit diminished. The Three Guardians remained indifferent, as if Malakai's actions required no explanation.

Vesper stood on top Malakai, her black feathers rustling in the gentle breeze. She seemed oblivious to the pack's reservations, her gaze fixed on the city.

Akira approached Malakai, her tail wagging in a slow, deliberate motion. She sniffed Vesper, then nodded, as if acknowledging her presence.
