It's been a week since their incident, Mai haven't seen the tall blond figure since then, yagi was up at the right time today, that's because he stayed up all night doing homework to try to earn his bonus points back, as Mai walks down the stairs he could smell the fresh breakfast his mother had prepared for him,
as he takes a seat at the table, his mother Asamin turns to him and her expression looks confused, "Mai? your up early" she says with a hit of concern in her voice
"yeah i have to start trying not to come to school late if i don't want to repeat this year" he says with a soft tone, but Asamin could sense that he's tired, and puts a plate of fried eggs in front of him "Mai…..don't overdo it, okay?" she says with a soft tone while patting his head, Mai nods and starts digging into his meal, Asamin had prepared.
As Mai finishes his meal he looks at the time to see he still have some over time left, he turns to Asamin "mom let me help you with the dishes" he says while picking up his dirty plate from the table, "oh my, my little boy is all grown up" she says looking a little sad that he's growing up, Mai sighs and wraps his arms around Asamin,
"mom, don't worry, i'll be your little boy forever" he says in a low voice,
Asamin hugs him back " oh what would i do without you…" she said with a low tone as well, looking sad as they hug in the kitchen, as they pull away from the hug, Mai looks at the clock and the back to Asamin "mom i gotta go now.."
Asamin pulls him back into a thigh hug "just 30 more seconds, it's a rare opportunity to get a hug from you"
Mai sighs and hugs back again "okay mom just 30 more seconds" he says in a low
voice enjoying the comfort of his mother.
After 30 seconds they both pull away, Asami smiles at Mai "i'm so proud of how you turned out Mai…" she says in a soft tone, Mai smiles back and then turns away to get his bag from his room,
Mai walks down the stars with his bag and waves his mother goodbye before walking through the door and shutting it after him,
as he starts walking to school a black fancy car pulls up next to him, two big men steps out of the car and grabs Mai and shoves him into the car,
Mai rubs his head as he hits his head while being shoved into the car, he sees the tall blond man inside the car, "hello again, yagi" he says in a low tone
"Who are you!?" Mai yells at him, the tall man smirks "my name is Fuji Ogawa"
he smiles "okay? and what do you want?" Mai yells but not in a loud tone like before,
Fuji smile at Mai "well it seems that you have something that i want"
Mai looks at him confused, "well you see, your father does own us some money" he smiles, "okay? what does that have to do with me?" Mai replies a little annoyed
Fuji smile widens and hands him some papers,
Mai takes the papers from his hands and starts reading,
his eyes widen and looks up at Fuji "well you see Yagi, i own you now" he smirks,
"what…" Mai says in a low tone in shock, Fuji leans forward "your father didn't have the money to pay us back, so he sold his own son" he smirk widens "and i must say your not even worth half of the debt he's in, so since i own you now, i have decided that your going to pay of the rest of his debt" Fuji smiles,
Mai says quite trying to process everything that's going on
Fuji turns serious "don't worry you will still go to school and get to sleep at home.."
Fuji says he's a little disappointed that he doesn't get to keep his new toy full time.
As Mai starts to process this whole situation he realize he's late to school,
"Mr.Ogawa...could you please take me to school" Mai says coldly avoiding eye contact,
Fuji's smile falters as he sees Mai's coldness, he turn to the window "fine" he says annoyed by his coldness, Fuji knocks on the window to the front seat and the driver starts driving then he turns to Mai again,
"after school you meet me at this street" he says and handing him a piece of paper
Mai looks at him confused "why?" Mai says concerned
"listen kid, just do it…" Fuji said annoyed, Mai nodded slowly at his request, not daring to protest.
They finally arrive at the school what felt like hours as Mai steps out of the car he looks back at Fuji "don't forget" Fuji whispers before closing the car door and driving off,
Mai sighs and starts to walk into the school building still thinking about how his own father sold him off so some mafia scum, as he gets into the school he stop in the hallway as he spots Tsumi in front of his homeroom,
Mai takes a deep breath before walking past him into the classroom, Mai was fully prepared to take a beating, but Tsumi didn't even raise his voice, he didn't even speak to him,
Mai sits down in his seat and sigh, he bows his head down onto the desk, still hearing the voices of his classmates whisper about him, blocking them out one by one,
he looks back up when realizing that it has become silent,
"Mai
your
alone"
"What?" Mai stands up from his seat, "where did they go…." he mutters under his breath, he looks around searching for someone, anyone, ]
suddenly his eyes flick open
"it was a dream" he mutters to himself, the voices of his classmates starts filling up in his head their louder than usual now,
Mai stands up, the class turns to him, he can feel their eyes on him, his breath starts to get heavier, sweat drips down his face
their eyes, it so empty
I can't breathe…
stop!....
Mai snaps his body moves on its own. he runs out the classroom running through the hallway
"Air!" he yells out loud
