Chapter 486: The Peculiar Slug

Feeling the dense senjutsu energy in the surroundings, Raiko was pleasantly surprised.

That her master Shishou possessed a planet even larger than the ninja world had already astonished her. However, what shocked her even more was the incredibly rich senjutsu energy on this planet, far exceeding that of the three great senjutsu lands.

If she could cultivate here, she would undoubtedly surpass her previous life's achievements.

Raiko was determined to cling to Shishou's coattails!

Hearing Raiko's exclamations, Shishou smiled and said, "If you perform well in the future, I can let you cultivate here."

Raiko was thrilled and responded, "Yes, master."

"Go get to work," Shishou said, creating a clone to accompany Raiko in choosing locations to set up the chakra harvesting arrays.

It had been six months since he last saw them, and he missed them a lot.

"Yes," Raiko answered respectfully and followed Shishou's clone.

With Raiko gone, Shishou flew into the air and headed toward Kaguya's castle, eager to reunite with Tsunade, Mikoto, and the others.

As he approached the castle, the giant beautiful figure of Katsuyu, the Slug Sage, appeared beside him, smiling, "You're back again."

Shishou raised an eyebrow and said, "It's been six months. I thought Tsunade and the others would be itching to return to the ninja world by now."

Katsuyu laughed lightly and said, "Since Tsunade and the others entered a meditative state last month, they haven't opened their eyes. They are fully engrossed in their training and have no desire to return."

Hearing this, Shishou was surprised, "That impressive?"

Katsuyu shrugged and laughed, "I told you before, the senjutsu energy here is incredibly dense. For those cultivating senjutsu, this is an invaluable treasure. A month or a year of training here feels like just a short nap for Tsunade and the others. You didn't believe me."

"Moreover, they can feel themselves getting stronger every day, so naturally, they don't want to miss this opportunity for rapid growth."

For Katsuyu, who had cultivated for thousands of years, a month was indeed a fleeting moment. And for Tsunade and the others, striving for longevity through senjutsu, this state was entirely normal.

Shishou nodded thoughtfully. He understood senjutsu well and knew that the deeper the cultivation, the longer each session would take. Entering meditation for a month was entirely normal.

However, Tsunade and the others were different from him. He had unique abilities, while they could only rely on their efforts or his assistance. Now that they had a chance to grow stronger, they were unwilling to let it slip away.

With this realization, Shishou sighed. He had hoped to reunite with Tsunade, Mikoto, and the others, but it seemed best not to disturb them.

For Shishou, there was always time in the future.

Deciding this, Shishou activated the Four Red Yang Formation and went to the Divine Tree to feed it.

As he fed the Divine Tree the chakra collected from the tailed beasts, it quivered with excitement. The Divine Tree clearly loved the tailed beasts' chakra.

Next, Shishou fed the chakra he had gathered to the Divine Tree one by one.

After finishing, he used his Takamimusubi ability to accelerate the Divine Tree's growth again.

When his chakra was half depleted, he stopped accelerating the tree and closed the barrier.

Looking towards the castle, Shishou sighed again.

He had come eagerly to see Tsunade and the others, only to find them deeply immersed in training. He couldn't help but feel a bit dejected.

Noticing Shishou's dejection, Katsuyu smiled and said, "If you're bored, I can keep you company."

Shishou was taken aback, "You keep me company?"

He had come to enjoy the company of Tsunade, Mikoto, and the others, and it seemed inappropriate for Katsuyu to offer.

Katsuyu crossed her arms and said casually, "If you don't want to, then never mind."

Seeing Katsuyu's gesture, which emphasized her ample bosom, Shishou was momentarily stunned.

Something felt odd about Katsuyu today.

Shrugging off these thoughts, Shishou laughed, "If you're willing to keep me company, let's go to the town and have a meal together."

Since it would take Raiko some time to set up the chakra harvesting arrays, Shishou needed to stay in Genesis Space for a while. Having Katsuyu to pass the time with was welcome.

Arriving at the small town he had created, Shishou walked to a ramen shop and ordered two bowls of ramen from the White Zetsu workers.

With Tsunade and the others training, the town was populated only by White Zetsu workers and numerous senjutsu animals, giving the town a lively atmosphere.

Katsuyu, sitting next to Shishou, pointed at the senjutsu animals and said, "These creatures have developed some intelligence due to the senjutsu chakra. Over time, this place might produce many intelligent beings like those in Mount Myoboku and Ryuchi Cave."

In the ninja world, animals with intelligence usually gained it through chakra. Mount Myoboku and Ryuchi Cave were prime examples.

Shishou nodded, indifferent. As long as these animals handed over their chakra regularly, he didn't care to interfere.

If they refused, he would replace them.

Guessing Shishou's thoughts, Katsuyu smiled and said, "I know you're collecting chakra to cultivate the Divine Tree, but you might be going about it the wrong way."

"The wrong way?" Shishou looked at Katsuyu, curious about her reasoning.

Seeing the White Zetsu worker bring their ramen, Katsuyu didn't immediately answer. She took out a pair of chopsticks, removed her face mask, and started eating.

Seeing her like this, Shishou raised an eyebrow but didn't press. He picked up his chopsticks and started eating too.

He had to admit, Katsuyu in her human form was strikingly beautiful, almost like a white-haired version of Tsunade.

Even the way she ate was pleasing to the eye.

After finishing the ramen, Katsuyu ordered some sake, and Shishou poured her a cup.

After downing the sake, Katsuyu said, "If you want to collect chakra to cultivate the Divine Tree, why not help these senjutsu animals gain intelligence?"

Shishou put down his chopsticks and said, "If they gain intelligence, they might be harder to manage."

After all, no one wanted to be mere resources.

Katsuyu gestured for more sake and said with a smile, "Let me ask you, do you think a hundred ordinary people's chakra equals the chakra of one tailed beast?"
