I'm the Man You Can't Get Anymore!

"Are you really going to leave?" Li Chuchu asked, her voice trembling. "Zhang Yan, are you truly planning to walk away from us just because of money?"

She stepped closer, her eyes brimming with tears. "Think about it again, please. If I was wrong before, I can swear to you there's really nothing between Li Minghui and me. You have to believe me."

Zhang Yan didn't even spare her a glance. He dragged his suitcase toward the door. "Maybe nothing happened between you two," he said coldly. "But the moment you lent my money to your ex-boyfriend, it was clear what kind of person you are and what could happen in the future."

He paused briefly, his tone firm. "I'm done, Li Chuchu. I don't want to see you again. Move aside."

Zhang Yan had seen through everything.

The moment Li Chuchu had decided to lend money to her ex, her true intentions were evident—even if she didn't realize it herself. He didn't need to imagine the future to understand that if they got married, all it would take was a call from Li Minghui, and she'd run to him.

He wouldn't tolerate such a woman in his life.

"No! I won't let you leave!" Li Chuchu cried as she blocked the doorway. "Please, Zhang Yan, don't go!"

"Move!" Zhang Yan's patience was wearing thin. He frowned and was about to push her aside, but she stood her ground, refusing to budge.

As they struggled, something fell out of Zhang Yan's pocket and landed on the floor with a crisp thud.

It was a marriage certificate.

At that moment, a familiar mechanical sound echoed in Zhang Yan's mind.

[Ding! The fall of the marriage certificate has been witnessed by your ex-girlfriend, Li Chuchu. The god-level selection system has been triggered:

1. Reveal the truth and tell Li Chuchu, 'This is my marriage certificate. From now on, I'll be the man you can never have.' (Reward: One-month stay in the Aegean Presidential Suite at a five-star hotel in Haicheng).

2. Quietly pick up the marriage certificate and act as if nothing happened. (Reward: One bottle of Shenbao lozenges).]

Zhang Yan smirked inwardly. The timing was perfect—he had planned to find a place to stay after leaving. Now, there was no need. As for the lozenges? He didn't need them just yet. Hopefully, when he and Shen Qing reached that stage, the system would offer them again.

"What is that?" Li Chuchu asked, stunned.

Zhang Yan picked up the certificate calmly and looked her straight in the eye. His voice was icy. "This is my marriage certificate. I registered it with Shen Qing this afternoon. We're now legally married."

He slid the certificate back into his pocket. "So don't bother me anymore. We're done. Forever."

Without sparing her another glance, Zhang Yan walked past the frozen Li Chuchu, suitcase in hand, and left.

Li Chuchu stood there as if struck by lightning. Even after Zhang Yan had disappeared down the hallway, she couldn't process what had just happened.

Zhang Yan… got married?

Her mind reeled with regret, despair, and helplessness. If she could turn back time, she'd never have broken up with Zhang Yan for Li Minghui. She knew Zhang Yan had always treated her far better.

But she'd been greedy—holding onto Zhang Yan while refusing to let go of Li Minghui.

Now, Zhang Yan had become the man she could never have.

"Ahhhh!" Li Chuchu screamed, grabbing her hair in frustration. Her emotions spiraled out of control, twisting into rage and regret. "Zhang Yan, so what if you married that fox spirit?! We'll see who lives better!"

---

Meanwhile, Zhang Yan had already made it downstairs. He couldn't hear Li Chuchu's cries and didn't care to.

He flagged a car and headed straight for the Aegean Hotel.

The Aegean Hotel was the most luxurious five-star establishment in Haicheng. Even a standard room there cost over 1,800 yuan per night. The presidential suite? That was a different league entirely.

There were only five presidential suites in the entire hotel, each offering a panoramic view of Marina Bay. These rooms, priced at over 50,000 yuan per night, were nearly impossible to book.

At the hotel's front desk, Zhang Yan confirmed his reservation. The receptionist quickly verified his name and informed him that the presidential suite had already been paid for—one month in advance.

The total cost of the suite? Around 1.5 million yuan, even with discounts. Enough to buy a decent three-bedroom apartment in Haicheng.

Despite Zhang Yan's simple attire, the hotel staff treated him with utmost respect, carefully carrying his luggage and leading him to the suite.

As soon as he entered, Zhang Yan was struck by the sheer opulence of the space.

The suite was over 180 square meters, with a floor-to-ceiling window offering breathtaking views of Marina Bay. It featured a living room, study, bedroom, accompanying room, high-end kitchen, private dining area, and two luxurious bathrooms.

Every piece of furniture was imported, crafted from the finest materials. The carpets were pure wool, and the bedding came from international luxury brands. Even the bed itself was a queen-sized masterpiece.

The bathrooms were outfitted with jacuzzis, bidets, and 18K gold faucets.

In every sense, it was a palace compared to his previous rented apartment.

Zhang Yan set his suitcase down and sighed in satisfaction...

This was the life he deserved.
