I'm Better Without Zhang Yan!

Li Chuchu sighed, her face weary. "Mom, I'm really not in the mood for shopping. If you want to shop, you can go by yourself. Why drag me along?"

"Isn't this for your own good?" Sun Min replied, clearly dissatisfied. "Why waste your time being miserable over a useless man?"

"I'm telling you, breaking up with Zhang Yan is the best thing that could have happened to you. After you left yesterday, I used your phone to call Li Minghui."

"What?! Mom, why did you call Li Minghui?" Li Chuchu immediately grew upset.

She knew she had wronged Li Minghui. However, she didn't want to admit her mistakes and had deliberately kept her distance from him.

"What else? I called to arrange for him to meet you!" Sun Min's mood brightened as she explained. "I spoke to him yesterday, and he's already started his own business in Magic City. Although it hasn't been long, the business is thriving. He doesn't even need his family's support anymore."

"I also told him about your breakup with Zhang Yan. He said he feels very guilty about the whole thing. In fact, he's planning to visit you in a couple of days. From what I gathered, he wants to rekindle the relationship. He's even thinking of opening a branch in Haicheng and letting you be the general manager!"

Hearing this, Li Chuchu couldn't help but feel slightly better. She thought, *Yes, breaking up with Zhang Yan was definitely his loss!*

"Why should I stay depressed over this? Didn't I tell myself that I'd show Zhang Yan I can live a much better life without him?"

Although she didn't feel the same way about Li Minghui as she once did for Zhang Yan, she didn't mind giving him a chance.

Her primary goal was to prove to herself—and Zhang Yan—that men better than him still pursued her.

"Alright, Mom, you're right. I won't waste any more time being sad over Zhang Yan!" Li Chuchu took a deep breath and composed herself.

"That's the spirit!" Sun Min smiled, visibly pleased. "After all, what's Zhang Yan compared to Li Minghui? A poor, stinking boy like him isn't worthy of you. Just wait until the day he's crying and begging to get back together. By then, you won't even want him because Li Minghui will be worth tens of millions, and Zhang Yan won't even measure up to a fraction of that."

Imagining this future scenario brought a smile to Li Chuchu's face. Her spirits lifted as she walked alongside her mother, who linked arms with her and said, "Come on, let's continue shopping. I brought you here today with a purpose."

"This area has the most high-end jewelry stores in Haicheng. Today, we'll take a look around. When Li Minghui visits, he'll buy you a piece as a gift. You can wear it and show it off in your social circle. I can already see how envious your friends will be!"

Li Chuchu thought it was a great idea. *If Zhang Yan sees it, even better. Let him know that my life is far better without him.*

Revived, she followed Sun Min to browse several jewelry stores. They didn't plan to buy anything just yet, but trying on the jewelry was an enjoyable experience in itself. When Li Minghui arrived, she would simply pick the one she liked best.

After all, she had lent him money to start his business, which had even caused the breakup with her previous boyfriend. Surely, Li Minghui owed her that much.

Mother and daughter visited several stores, leaving the sales staff exhausted. Sun Min, in particular, caused a stir by requesting the clerks to bring out one item after another for her to try, despite not making any purchases.

By coincidence, they ended up on the same floor as Zhang Yan.

Zhang Yan, meanwhile, was searching for a gift for Shen Qing. He had decided to visit a Cartier store, known internationally for its exquisite jewelry and love-themed designs.

He remembered overhearing Yang Tianhua mention wanting to buy a Cartier ring for his wife, only to hesitate because of the price. Cartier's pieces were undoubtedly beautiful and classy, but they came with a hefty price tag.
