I want you

Just like every other Empire, even the Nexus Empire had its palace at the centre of the Capital City. And it was very big as well.

Before the guards could stop him and make some stupid scene, Felix showed them the token he received along with the invitation.

When the guards saw the token they went back to their places, because these tokens weren't given to every Tom, Dick, and Harry.

They were special tokens that the Empire gave to only those who were decided as worthy to groom, and use them as their special secret weapons in the upcoming war.

Until now almost a few hundred of those had appeared, and every single one of them was a genius who none of the guards could even dare to think about offending.

...

Not too later after Felix and Gloria went inside the palace gates, a woman rushed out to direct Felix to the Empress.

Walking behind the woman, Felix took his time to praise her swaying ass which made the woman blush, while Gloria rolled her eyes and tried to look away.

Passing through the luxurious corridors, it didn't take long for Felix and Gloria to stop before the throne room, and enter it when they were invited inside.

Going inside Felix walked straight to the centre of the room, from where he tilted his head upwards to look at the Empress who was sitting on the throne which was high up above the floor with steps leading to it.

"You have many pets, Felix."

"How do you know my name?"

Not bothered by Felix not calling her 'Empress', respectfully, since according to the recent reports his strength was guessed to be three stars, the woman conversed normally with him.

"I heard about it from Estes. The woman who recruited you."

Nodding his head a little absentmindedly, Felix narrowed his eyes.

"Realy?"

Not thinking too much about the comment, the Empress continued.

"You're more talented than I expected. So tell me, Felix, what do you want for participating by my side?"

Until now everyone was given the opportunity to work for her, and only Felix alone was given the chance to work beside her. This just showed how much importance the Empress placed on Felix.

"The best looking women?"

"Uncountable riches?"

"Or peerless weapons?"

With the first wave of her hand coquettish and charming courtesans stepped out and showed off their bodies to Felix.

The second time she did, the maids revealed a room filled treasures that shined with never ending lustre.

And with her last wave, a few weapons were brought outside, with each having a heavy and terrifying aura around them.

Behaving as if he was thinking very hard, Felix pointed his finger towards the Empress.

"I want you. And in exchange, I'll win this war for you. After all, you were the one who personally scouted me."

Once his words ended the whole room remained in silence, as even Gloria was stunned from the newly revealed facts.

"You figured it out. How did you do it?"

In response to the Empress's curiosity, Felix was more laid back as he said, "You perfectly changed your appearance, and masked your scent as well."

"But?"

"But... I have great instincts."

Indeed the woman who scouted Felix, was none other than the empresses herself who was in a disguise. The disguise was so great that Felix couldn't even smell the goddess level scent from her. Which he could now, since she wasn't hiding it anymore.

However, after he saw her immediately guessed that she was the same woman. Mostly by intuition.

As for why the Empress was on that small island, it was to take her mind a few days off of all the preparations. And also because she heard that her sister might be there.

Unfortunately, she didn't find her sister, but found Felix when she attended a banquet to pass her time, and ended up giving him a token to join her.

But she never expected that the same one she gave the token to, would in less than a few months become someone who could be considered a three star level individual. Much less that the sister she was searching for, Sophia Gilmore, would be travelling along with him.

"You're that sure?"

"What kind of a man would I be, if I can't even be confident?"

"If you're so sure, then I don't have a problem."

Not asking stupid things like why she should accept, or what if he fails, when she didn't have anything to lose from it, the Empress remembered the prophecy she was given by her mother who passed away.

Thinking that maybe Felix was the same person her mother had given the prophecy about, the Empress could only wait and see about how the future would unfold.

"Great. Just give me a room to sleep in, and inform me when the war starts. I'll take care of the rest."

Saying so Felix left by pulling Gloria with him, leaving the Empress and her stunned aides.

"Can that person do anything at all Empress? Or is he just talk?"

Shaking her head, the Empress neither denied or accepted Felix's claims, as she said, "Even if he can't win the war single handedly as he boasted about, with him joining us, the Nebula Continent is almost guaranteed to be the final victor."
