In the Shadows of Georgo Town

After the successful mission and with his first ghoul as a trophy, Marcus decided it was time to move forward. He had earned some decent ether stones for his work, and while it wasn't a fortune, it would cover some expenses. He decided it was time to head south to a village called Georgo Town. The journey was long, and uncertainty accompanied him, but what concerned him most was the state of the car he had stolen. While it worked, he knew he couldn't keep using it much longer without attracting the attention of the authorities or, worse, other hunters.

With determination, he ventured onto the road. As he drove, he thought about everything he had learned since his arrival in this world. He had killed monsters, leveled up, improved his skills, and gained some power. But he still felt like something was missing, and that feeling made him think of Linda. "If I see her again, I need to ask her about better lockpicks. I need more efficient tools for my jobs."

At a gas station halfway through his journey, he decided it was time to switch vehicles. It wasn't an easy task, but he had learned enough about cars and lockpicks to do it. He easily unlocked the car, leaving behind the old stolen one and taking a new one he had seen at the station. Though he felt a bit guilty for stealing, he knew that in this world, survival was the most important thing.

After a few more hours, he finally arrived in Georgo Town. The air felt thick, tense, as if something dark loomed over the village. Marcus parked the new car and got out to investigate. The town was deserted, with empty streets and houses that seemed abandoned. There wasn't much movement, but what caught his attention most was the palpable sense of fear emanating from the few residents still there.

As he walked, he noticed a scared woman near the entrance of the village. He approached her, sensing her nervousness, and asked what was happening.

—What's going on here? —Marcus asked, looking for information about the place.

The woman, her voice trembling, explained that there had been many disappearances in the last 30 days. Children, adults—everyone vanished without a trace, and the strangest part was that all the missing people were in perfect health. No one knew who or what was behind these disappearances. But from the fear in the woman's voice, Marcus deduced that something sinister was going on.

He decided to find a place to stay and, after walking around the town, found a small inn-tavern. Most of the residents seemed to be hiding, too scared to go out. The atmosphere was dense, but Marcus wasn't fazed by the wary looks. He was used to tense environments. He entered the tavern and decided to stay there for the night, knowing that the next day he would need to investigate more about what was happening in Georgo Town.

As he walked through the town and entered the inn, something strange began happening. Over time, Marcus had noticed changes in his perceptions. His supernatural senses had sharpened, and he could now perceive things he couldn't before. In this town, something felt wrong. He could feel a dark presence, as if an invisible force was watching him from the shadows.

Once inside his room, he sat on the bed, tired from the long journey but still alert. He decided the best thing would be to check his panel again to assess his progress.
