Chapter 7

Zayla was getting ready to go out with Dorian. The young man had been planning this romantic night for several weeks. He had chosen a chic restaurant to take her to. He had to make the reservation a month in advance and, naturally, a large part of his savings went towards it. But that didn't bother him at all. He loved Zayla with all his heart and didn't hesitate to prove it to her through acts of kindness like giving her presents, buying her flowers, and taking her to romantic places. Dorian was always a gentleman by nature, but with Zayla, he became even more so.

The young metisse was planning to look her best for the night. She wanted to have a stunning outfit, perfect makeup, and exquisite jewelry. She didn't hesitate to spend a long time on her wardrobe, ensuring that she was presentable. She wanted to be at her best for the occasion.

Normally, it was Esméralda who helped her choose what to wear for these kinds of events. But the latter kept ignoring her friend. Zayla couldn't help but be worried about her of course. She had still been sending messages to Esméralda, which had yet to be read. Now, she just wanted to enjoy this date with her boyfriend who had put his heart into preparing dinner for her. She shouldn't think of anything else but them two.

After some hemming and hawing, she chose a long red dress with a slight cleavage that perfectly highlighted her figure. She styled her hair, ditching her afro for the night. She adjusted two rebellious strands and a joyful smile appeared on her face. She couldn't wait to spend the night with the one who had been making her heart beat for four years.

"He will be completely whipped." She whispered to herself.

At 7:30 p.m., the doorbell rang, indicating that her boyfriend had arrived. The restaurant was 40 minutes away by car, so he wanted to make sure they were not late.

He was dressed in a black shirt matching his jacket, his hair slightly styled with a little care. He wanted to look his best. His face lit up when he saw Zayla. Despite the years, the young woman's beauty still affected him as if it were the first day.

- Dorian: "You are beautiful, my love. I am completely charmed.

And There was something to be charmed by. She was captivating, that was undeniable.

- Zayla: "You are elegant as well, Mister. Does it mean you want to impress me?

She taunted him while taking the rose he offered her.

- Dorian: "When a princess decides to offer us her heart, we have to be worth it.

Zayla giggled as the words of her boyfriend reached her ears. Dorian's words may seem like empty words to some, but he truly meant it. Zayla was his princess, and he was determined to make her happy.

- Dorian: "After you, dear miss.

He walked her to the car and opened the door for her. The ride was enjoyable and full of laughter. They had talked and joked all the way. There was no uncomfortable silence at all. After all, from the first time they met, a connection had quickly developed between the two. Dorian had quickly fallen in love with the young woman's jovial and direct personality. Her beauty had also caught his eye.

Dorian was the first to make a move. They met at the university. Zayla had a crush on him as she got to know him better. So it was only natural that she accepted when he proposed a date. The date went quite well. Dorian was a true gentleman, taking a genuine interest in Zayla, her interests, and not being too forward or making inappropriate remarks.

Of course like any couple, they had their moments of tension. But the two were mature enough to refrain from saying anything hurtful in a fit of anger. They preferred to discuss things once they had calmed down and each would apologize without placing the blame on the other.

A few minutes later, they arrived at their destination. The establishment was located on one of the most prestigious squares in the city. Its exterior was a pristine white, contrasted by black lines and golden trims that added discreet elegance.

The imposing wooden entrance door with an overhanging granite lintel, sculpted with nature-inspired patterns, was the focus as customers entered. The floor was covered in marble in white, on which customers walked. A gentle music flowed through the walls, creating a cozy atmosphere.

The restaurant had a main hall for dinner parties and smaller spaces for more intimate dinners. The tables were set with delicate porcelain tableware, fine linen scarves, and silverware in silver. Every detail was carefully planned to provide an unforgettable culinary experience satisfying the senses of sight, smell, and taste.

The menu was designed by a talented chef with a modern approach to cooking while being seasonal. Each plate was presented with finesse, transforming each dish into a breathtaking masterpiece satisfying the eyes. The service, from the welcome to table service to the kitchen staff, was exceptional, exceeding even the highest expectations of clients. The wines were carefully selected to accompany each dish.

The restaurant has a rooftop, offering a panoramic view of the city. Dorian interlocked their fingers and entered the building. The waiter guided them to an isolated table, which provided privacy for the young couple. It was near a large glass window, overlooking Lir'Déha.

Zayla had chosen a phenician boletus dish, known for its crunchy texture and sweet taste, while Dorian had chosen a beef carpaccio. The two had dined in good spirits and in a romantic atmosphere.

At the end of their meal, Dorian escorted her as a gentleman was. He captured the lips of the young woman before wishing her a good night. She was overjoyed. She spent an exceptional evening by the side of the most important person in her life.
