Chapter 3 Rampage

Chisaki looked over at Dabi, remaining quiet as he wrestled with his thoughts. The idea of Dabi getting hurt caused deep pain inside him; he wanted to protect him. Yet he hesitated to move, torn between that desire and the fear of hurting his father, whom he loved dearly. But did he love him in the way that mattered? His father's teachings had blurred the lines between love and abuse throughout his life.

A disturbing thought flashed in his mind, accompanied by unsettling images of dismembered bodies, along with a vision of a cabin.

(In his mind)

"Why am I thinking about this?"

He trembled in fear at the gruesome images he wished he could unsee. The thought made him feel sick, but that sensation shifted as his stomach growled. It was as if he craved something, something he couldn't fully comprehend. He glanced at his father, who looked at him as if he were just a piece of meat rather than a father figure.

(Out of his mind)

Dabi remained silent, trying to figure out how to win a fight against the many people who wanted to hurt him. He covered himself in flames, attempting to protect himself from what was about to happen.

The boss of the Shie Hassaikai: Give up...

His eyes widened as he felt a sharp pain in his neck. He glanced down to see his adopted son sinking his teeth into him.

Dabi: Chisaki...?

His eyes widened.

Chisaki: ...

Chisaki felt tears welling in his eyes as he looked at his Master, realizing what was happening but feeling powerless to stop it. It was as if something or someone had taken control of his body. His eyes turned pitch black, and his teeth became sharp. He began to cry, gazing into his Master's face, which reflected horror. The voices in his head grew louder, urging him to kill his Master. Using his quirk, he disassembled his Master into pieces instantly. The pool of blood splattered all over his body as he cried uncontrollably, forced to drink the blood of his Master's remains. The Yakuza members watched in horror and, out of fear, decided to use their quirks against him. No longer paying attention to Dabi and Shigaraki, their focus shifted entirely to Chisaki. In the blink of an eye, they were all killed instantly by his quirk. Dabi watches in horror just to see a pool of blood everywhere. It was a real-life horror movie that he wished wasn't real.

Dabi: Chisaki...

Dabi didn't hesitate, rushing toward Chisaki despite the blue flames that made his skin bleed due to his lack of control over his quirk. As he ran through the pool of blood, he mentally steeled himself.

(In his mind).

"Show no fear, God Damnit. I have to be the hero and reach for a helping hand."

He reached out and enveloped Chisaki in a tight hug, extinguishing his flames as he felt Chisaki tremble in his arms. The fear emanating from Chisaki broke his heart.

Dabi: It's okay, it wasn't your fault...

His voice was soothing as he whispered to Chisaki.

Chisaki: I'm sorry...

He apologized, bursting into tears as he hugged Dabi tightly. His eyes, once consumed by darkness, returned to normal as if the controlling force had left him. Though he felt an overwhelming desire to die, he couldn't bring himself to share this with Dabi.

Dabi: Hey it's okay.

He comforted him, saying it was okay. Reflecting on the events, Dabi thought about how Chisaki's father's fate was deserved, yet he hadn't anticipated things unfolding as they did. He recalled a childhood memory, but it was replaced by the gruesome image of a pool of blood.

(In his mind).

"He had it coming in the end... But I would prefer he get arrested and maybe die in prison..."

(Out of his mind).

Dabi: How about you stay with me?

Chisaki's eyes widen as he tears up, nodding yes, but his thoughts are consumed by the baby in the room, his adopted sister's daughter Eri, and the fear of leaving her behind. The pool of blood before him makes him question everything he thought he knew, realizing that the abuse he suffered was never love. Dabi's demonstration of love has left him both grateful and heartbroken, wondering what his sister and her baby endured during those times. The thought makes him nauseous, and he knows he'll never fully recover.

Shigaraki: Damn...

Staying in the background, haunted by the memory of losing control over his quirk, which led to the tragic loss of his family members. The pain still lingered, but he remained silent.

(In his mind).

"At least it's all over now..."

However, the encounter with the man who controlled the black liquid and his words still lingered.

(In a flashback).

Kaito: Evil runs the world, and you cannot stop it. You're powerless.

A twisted smile spread across Kaito's face as he savored the cruel truth.

(End of Flashback).

Emerging from his thoughts, he wondered.

"Was this what he was talking about?''

(Out of his mind).

(In Chisaki's Room).

Underneath the bed, a book suddenly flips through its pages, stopping at a symbol of Baphomet. Dark red energy briefly envelops the book, sending small amounts of energy to an unseen portal. The book flips through its pages again, stopping at a hexagram symbol. Blood begins to seep from underneath the book, slowly spreading toward Eri's room. Whispers echo through the hallways as the blood makes its way to Eri's room.

The Man In The Goat Mask: לְהַקְרִיב.

He speaks in a low tone. His group of members surrounds the baby, recalling the past events involving their first victim, Kaien.

The Man In The Goat Mask: היא טהורה. אנחנו חייבים לנצל את ההזדמנות הזו.

His members nod in agreement as they watch their leader place the small baby on the pentagram with the goat head.

The Man In The Goat Mask: كل التحية للشيطان.

The demonic symbol beneath baby Eri begins to glow a dark, ominous red. Chanting echoes from within the building, audible to those outside.

(Outside)

Confusion settles over the group as they gaze at the building, wondering who could be inside. The Yakuza had been eliminated, leaving no one behind. Chisaki speculates that it might be his adopted sister, but the chanting sounds like a mix of male and female voices.

Dabi: Shigaraki stay with Chisaki.

He looks at Shigaraki before entering the building. He follows the sound of a female scream, his quirk at the ready. However, upon arriving at the source of the scream, he finds a woman, slightly older than him, clutching her baby girl in fear.

Dabi: Are you okay?

He asks, his tone laced with concern. He looks at her, wondering if she's okay, but notices how scared she is. As he glances around the room, he sees a pentagram on the floor, surrounded by candles that have been blown out.

(Outside).

Chisaki: Will Dabi be okay?

He looks at Shigaraki with concern, wondering if Dabi will be okay. Despite being a little scared of Shigaraki, he can't help but think about the book he found and whether it's connected to the events unfolding before him.

Shigaraki: He'll be fine. He's strong for an idiot.

He reassures him with a smile.

Chisaki: ...

He smiles at him back but his guilt over killing his Master and his people still lingers. He wishes the nightmare was just a dream, and the sound of sirens in the distance only adds to his anxiety.

Shigaraki: The police are on their way, which means the heroes will be here soon.

He grabs Chisaki's hand and quickly pulls him away from the pool of blood, heading towards the back of the base.

Chisaki: Wait, what about Dabi?

He looks at Shigaraki, puzzled, wondering why Shigaraki decided to leave Dabi behind.

Shigaraki: You're covered in blood, Chisaki. The police and heroes will arrest you the moment they see you.

Chisaki: ...

He looks down at himself, then back at Shigaraki, tears welling up in his eyes.

Chisaki: But don't I deserve to go to prison? I killed my father... I killed so many people...

Tearing up slightly he still remembers when he killed his father.

Shigaraki: ...

His expression softens slightly as he looks at Chisaki, who is slowly breaking down.

Shigaraki: That bastard deserved to die. To be honest, I just hope you don't repeat the cycle of abuse.

(Inside the building)

He was startled by the sirens coming from outside. He wanted to leave the area, but he couldn't abandon the woman. He had no choice but to stay, hoping that Chisaki and Shigaraki were safe.

Five minutes later, the door was broken down by his father, Endeavor. Deep down, he had wanted another hero to arrive, but he hadn't expected it to be his father. Their eyes locked, and as usual, his father was furious with him. The blood from Chisaki's clothes was now on his clothes, likely contributing to his father's anger.

Dabi: ...

(In his mind).

"This sucks..."

(Out of his mind).
