Back at the temple, Alexander was stirring in his sleep, and sweat ran down his temples, as he struggled to wake up from the dream that clutched him like a web, holding him captive in a realm of darkness.
He was dreaming about the accident he just had at the cliff, reliving the terrifying moment. The exact way it happened replayed itself in his dream, except that it had a different ending this time, one that filled him with dread.
Instead of him being saved by the lady in a white cloak, and being made to levitate mid-air, this time, he actually fell until he hit the huge rock, feeling the crushing impact.
Just as his back landed on the rock, Alexander sprang up from the floor, finally escaping the clutches of his nightmare, letting out a gasp of relief. His sweat already formed a pool on his face and neck, glistening in the dim light.
