"Here you go," Alethea said, as she tossed a bag of plump, juicy strawberries onto Alexander's lap. The sweet aroma wafted up, enticing his senses.
After Alexander's stomach had growled loudly, announcing its emptiness, 'the veiled lady' had told him to sit at a bench seat, and that she would bring food to him. He had excitedly sat down, his eyes fixed on the direction she had gone, as he waited for her to bring the food, only for her to bring strawberries at the end.
Resisting the urge to grumble and complain, he decided to be satisfied with what he got. He opened the bag, and began to pop the strawberries into his mouth, savoring the sweet and sourly taste that exploded on his tongue.
Alethea sat beside him on the bench, facing the opposite side, her eyes gazing into space as she asked, "Do you remember things better now?"
