Chapter 10 Ceremony faces please

Everyone was finally seated by the time the doors closed. The ceiling to floor windows where draped with white tulle that flowed to the floor. Marcus and Casimir were sat near the front but by the windows. It was awkward for them to be so close in proximity to the groom's family instead of seated with guests that were more of friends and acquittances. He guessed though that it would be more peculiar if he was sat on the bride's side considering it'd be likely improbable for him and a baron to know each other.

Marcus was more of a social butterfly than Cas could ever hope to be, chattering away with the groom's great uncle. He was trying to avoid widow Baroness Clancy's, Viscount Carter's elderly aunt on his mother's side of marriage, heated stare as she gave him a little flirtatious wave. The awful watermelon champagne may yet make it's way back up his throat.

The pianist saved him by beginning to play, drawing everyone's attention to her as the start of "The Walking Bride" flowed through the room. Two attendants opened the doors, and the first person from the bridal party walked through. A silver-blue haired little girl of at least eight years was the first to walk out. Her hair was styled in two large buns on top of her head with purple flowers and vines wrapped around the buns. She had a dark green basket with light purple and white flowers in it. He little dress was floor length with layers of lavender purple fabric and a delicate bow on the back. Next was a tall seductive looking woman with dark brown hair and eyes wearing a set of glasses. Her dress was a pleated halter in lavender. It suited her well he thought. After the brunette was a dark red-headed woman in her early twenties. Her hair was in a short wavy bob cut that matched her knee length floral halter top gown. She walked in a sweet manner, giving a small smile to all the guests she passed.

After her came Catalina. She was wearing the same outfit she sneaked out into the cocktail hour in, except she had a small bouquet of purple and white flowers to match the other bridesmaids. She wasn't smiling though as she walked down the isle. In fact, Casimir would even say she was frowning a bit as she practically ran to her place on the wedding platform. Her focus was solely on the back of the woman in front of her as she tried not to look at anybody. She glanced up every now and then. He was so captivated by his new friend's obvious discomfort that he didn't see the men come out, or the bride for that matter. It was only when Marcus hit his shoulder that he looked over.

"Here comes the bride. I have to give it to Carter, for a baron's daughter she's quite the looker." Marcus commented.

"Oh, yes. I suppose so." Cas replied off handed.

Marcus gave him a questioning stare as they watched Silvia walk toward her groom. She truly was stunning if Cas gave her an actual look. Her dark blue hair was in an elegant chignon with purple flowers threaded through it that had a sparkle aspect it seemed. She had a purple smokey eye that enhanced her light brown eyes. The dress could only be described as a beauty, a organza ball gown with a sweetheart neckline, 3/4 puff sleeves, and a court train. The skirt of the dress was ruched with small white iris here and there. It was the brides smile though and the look in her eye that gave the attendants an idea for how excited she was. It was the same look children gave presents meant for them.

The bride finally made it to her groom as they held hands in front of the temple's priest. He began the sermon.

Marcus tapped Casimir on the arm, "Psss, Cas. Is it just me or is that bridesmaid meaning to burn holes into the redhead's backside."

He discretely pointed to Catalina and the red head.

"Haha, you know, I don't think that's her intention." He chuckled

Catalina finally glanced their way and saw them. More specifically, she saw a man she clearly remembered telling not to crash her sisters wedding. She gave him a crossed look, her little blue eyebrows scrunching up in anger.

It seemed Cas didn't fully comprehend her expression as he gave a little friendly smile. He started taking his two index fingers putting them in the middle of his mouth before going outward up pattern. She tilted her head in confusion at him. What on earth was he trying to say? That she had food in her teeth? The man's odd and eccentric behaviors utterly perplexed her.

Finally understanding that she wasn't getting the signal, Cas tried a different approach.

He was mouthing something at her now as he made the weird finger motions.

"S"

"S" she repeated back to him.

"M" his bow shaped lips curved to form.

She mouthed the letter back.

"I"

"I"

"L" Surely he was close to finishing the word, right?

"L"

"E" He did the finger movement at his lips again.

"E" as she finished spelling the word and doing the finger movement with him it clicked in her head.

"Oh!" She quietly uttered.

Her mother gave her a look with the universal hand sign for "Shh" thrown her way. She quickly faced toward her sister as her mouth tugged into a small smile giving Casimir a slight nod as she tried to pay attention to the rest of the ceremony.

"Soooo what was that about Cas?" Marcus teased.

Cas merely brushed his teasing aside as he tried once again to give the ceremony his full attention.

"Nothing Marcus, merely helping a friend in need." He chimed.

"And now, we'll hear the groom and bride's vows to each, if you would please." The priest continued.

Jacob cleared his throat before beginning, " My darling Silvia, I knew from the moment we met in Harleen park that day two years ago that I found someone to love me. Someone to be with me when I take over the family business. Someone to come home to every night. But Silvia, I promise to be there for all your big moments. The birth of our first child. And the ones after that of course haha. And when you hold your first tea party as Mrs. Silvia Priscilla Carter, I promise not to get too upset about the cost. I love you Silvia, and no man could ever be luckier than me to end up with you."

Silvia had tears in her eyes as she took a piece of paper from Mary-Anne.

"Jacob, I promise to be the woman you never regret. I promise to always be there and support you, to always be on your side no matter what. I promise to stand by you, even when I know I'm right haha. I promise to be the wife and partner you deserve. All I ever ask is that you makeup our fights by bringing me flowers and cake from Tina's Trinkets. I ask that you let me go shopping to my hearts content. I ask that you love our children as much as you love me. I love you Jacob, and I'm so excited for our journey together. You always tell me you got lucky when you met me, but I think it's the opposite. I know actually that it's the opposite. I'm the lucky one because I found someone who loves me exactly the way I am without asking for change."

As the two looked at each other with adoration the priest took over again.

"What lovely vows from an even lovelier couple. And now, with the power entrusted to me from the supreme god Kalus, and the Atilina Empire, I pronounce you Mr. & Mrs Jacob and Silvia Carter!!"

The newly wedded couple shared a kiss as everyone stood up to celebrate them.
