"I warned you that you would not be able to avoid the loss of someone that was close to you." I heard the female voice of my race's deity say as she stepped out of the fog of the dark world where I always met her.
"What do you want with me now?" I asked her as I was trying to find out where she was talking at me from. "I do not know if I want to trust the next thing that you tell me". I said out of anger because I was still slightly pissed off at the fact that Nova had died because of my failure to protect her.
"It does not matter if you believe me or not because you will find the final item that is required for you to ascend as the next Terran race deity that takes my place. Also, I should warn you that as soon as you have both key items that you need, you will be targeted by many people who crave the divine power that the items will lead them to. This means you will be putting any planet that you stay on at risk of invasion after to acquire them."
"Are you telling me that I will have to abandon my new life to save the people of this world from possible elimination or enslavement?" I asked with an expression of worry because I did not want to lose my new life just as it was getting good.
"Yes, and I also advise that you take William with you. He will play an important role in ensuring that you are safe during the divine evolution."
After I spoke, the world where I talked to her stated to vanish from my sight, which meant that I was going to be waking up soon.
I felt the light from outside of the home where I was living bounce off the crystals that were around the main double window that led out of the bedroom that I was in.
As I woke up, I saw that there was someone beside me in the bed that I was in. this individual was a young female Vordonian child that looked quite different from all the other Vordonian children that I had ever seen because behind her pair of curved white horns that was on her head I saw that she had short white hair.
Then, on the other side of this child, I saw the female Vordonian that I saved from the cyborg success at blowing up her original home world.
I got out of bed, and I honestly could not believe that it had ten years since the day that Nova had been turned into a vampire and I had failed to save her. I had spent the last ten years living on the new Vordonian world that was on the Terran side of The Three-Way Divide.
After I spent the first year in grief over the loss of Nova, I chose to make a clinic that I used to heal the Vordonians. Evan, though my talent would kill them by turning them into ash, I chose to use my knowledge of herbs and their physiology to design my own cure that did not apply the use of either of my talents.
When I walked out of the bedroom, I walked through the kitchen, where I saw that there was a tall and skinny male Vordonian that had a pair of dark green horns on top of his head. The clothes that he was wearing were all black rags that were in decent shape, with only a few tears around the area of his knees due to continuous squatting and movement.
"Good morning, Drax. Have you prepared a decent meal for breakfast for all of us?" I asked him as I sat down at the dining table that was in the next room beside the kitchen.
The table was of a blue crystal design, which made everything shine as the morning light from the opening from the ceiling of the room.
"Yes, Master Danny, I have prepared a Terran delicacy called steak after I cooked the meat from one of our cattle the way I was instructed to cook along with patatas." I heard him say as he came to the table with the food on a silver plate.
I saw that the female child walked from the room and she set sown in one of the chairs around the table with a smile that seemed to brighten up the room as she looked at me from my left.
"Here we go, Valria. I have made you some food. I hope that you will enjoy it." Drax said as he put a smaller plate of the same thing in front of her.
Then, as I started to eat, I saw that William had walked into the building in a simple white robe that seemed to prioritize freedom of movement over anything else.
"Uncle William, what are you going to be doing today? Are you going to be discovering anything interesting any time soon?" she asked as she turned around whenever he entered the room.
"Yes, your uncle has just discovered an entrance to some ruins of The Ancient Osdronian Dynasty. I am hoping that we will find something of great value soon." William said as Drax placed a plate of food in front of him.
"Good morning master Kayelin" I heard Drax say in a submissive tone as he kneeled at the sight of the female Vordonian that was formally sleeping on the bed with me.
After that, I saw the same female Vordonian that I had saved from the cyborgs ten years ago. She always told me that she chose to marry me one year after I moved to this world for strategic reasons, but I could tell that she loved me as she walked around and continuedly glanced back at me only for a few seconds at a time.
"I hope that you will find what you are looking for today, William. If you need me, then I will be at my healing clinic curing my patients for the day today." I told him as I rose to my feet and gave my plate to Drax.
"So, are you leaving already, Daddy?" Valria asked me, and as she talked, I felt all my attention being pulled to her as if at this moment nothing else existed.
"Yes, I am. You behave yourself when Drax drops you off at school today. Do not allow the other kids to bully just because you are the first Vordonian and Terran hybrid." I told her as I walked to the table and kneeled to ensure that we made eye contact.
"I will do my best to make you happy daddy". She said as she smiled at me, showing her shinny white teeth.
"I have faith that you will, after all, you are my child". I said as I patted her on the top of her head, rubbing my left hand on her white hair.
"Do not claim her as only your daughter because if I remember correctly, I was the one who went through the pain of natural child birth seven years ago." Kayelin said to me as she walked past me and then kissed me on the lips.
"No, I dare not forget that you did that, but it would not be like you would allow me to forget it even if I wanted to." I said to her as I laughed at the thought of what she might do to me if I ever forgot, and left the house heading to my healing clinic.
As I walked out of the house, I was suddenly in a city of diamond structures that shined as the light from the twin suns of this world bounced off them turn the white diamonds into a light blue color.
I started to walk down the street and said hi and good morning to all the Vordonians that I walked past as I made my way to the side alley where my healing clinic was located.
The building where I had set up my healing clinic was at the very end of the long and narrow alleyway.
This building was also made of diamonds, but it remained white in appearance since it was not being hit by the morning light.
When I approached it, I saw that there was a very long line of injured and sick Vordonians that were waiting for me to heal or possibly release them from the burdens of life.
I made my way to the side entrance of my clinic so that I could go in without drawing any unwanted attention to myself as I entered it.
Then, as soon as I walked into the clinic, I was stopped by a male Vordonian who was wearing medical scrubs.
"Oh, great healer, we have a severe case of amputation that has a female member of my race unable to work."
"Well, if that is the case, I do not know what I can do for her unless she has signed the form of magic release." I told him as we both walked down the hallway to the main operating room.
"She has signed it." he said as he showed me the document that was on the tablet.
"Okay since they have signed away, then I can begin the process of giving them the release that they are after." I said as I opened the door and entered the room.
As I walked into the room, I saw that there were two females waiting for me. They were of the Vordonian race with red horns on their head.
"Hello Dr. Danny is the great healer and hero of my people." The elder female Vordonian said as she bowed to me.
"Do you acknowledge what it is that you have agreed to by allowing me to heal her injuries?" I asked both people that were in the room to make sure that they knew what they were agreeing to.
"Yes, we both understand what that means, and we have no other choice because her injury is beyond what our medicine is capable of. That is why we have come to you so that you may release her from the strain and restriction of life." The elderly Vordonian female said to me as she grabbed my hand and started to cry.
"I will begin the process as long as you are both ready and you have the jar that I will need to place her ashes." I told as I activated my talent, which had grown into a much darker green over the years.
"We have brought the jar so you can begin the healing process of releasing my daughter from this world".
I placed my right hand on her veins that were pulsing from her neck. As I did this, I saw the veins start to turn black. Then, her body became a pile of ash only a few seconds after my hand contacted her flesh.
Then the elder bowed to me and put the jar beneath the table where I had done as they requested. She then started pushing the ashes into the jar. After that, she thanked me and left the clinic with a smile on her face.
"Danny, Danny, I have found it!" William exclaimed to me as he ran into the room waving a black medallion that had a blue eagle symbol on it.
"What is it that you found?" I asked him as I deactivated my talent.
"This is the final piece that will lead you to your destiny. I have done as that ai asked of me so many years ago. This means that my debt to you is paid in full."
Then I explained everything that our race's deity had told me last night to him.
"So, are you telling me that I am still bound to you, and by discovering this item, I have put this entire planet at risk?" he asked with a concerned look on his face.
"Yes, that is exactly what I am saying to you." I told him as I walked out of the building heading home, knowing that my new was about to end.
