Medicine department, class A

Desmond was a little bit different from others; though he was cold, his coldness was not the one that made people distance themselves away from him. He was led in by the class teacher, Mr. Jay. Just like others, the reaction of everyone in the class was bewildered. Both boys and girls admired Desmond, and they wanted to get close to him. While the men were jealous of his handsomeness, the ladies were drooling over him.

Mr. Jay coughed lightly, drawing everyone's attention back to earth. "He is our newcomer, Desmond My, a twenty-one-year-old medicine student. You all should introduce yourselves," he said.

"Welcome to our department. My name is Shaolin, a twenty-year-old medicine student. We will be good friends in the future," a beautiful lady stood first and introduced herself, flashing Desmond a charming smile.

Desmond just nodded his head.

"I am Rowland, a twenty-three-year-old medicine student. Welcome to our department," another person introduced himself.

Desmond nodded again.

"I am Deborah, you can call me Debby. I am a twenty-two-year-old medicine student. I wish you good luck," Debby smiled beautifully.

Desmond nodded.

"I am Liza; I will be twenty-one this year. You are welcome to our department," Liza introduced.

Desmond just nodded.

"I am Jackson; you are welcome to our department," another student said.

Desmond nodded.

Everyone introduced themselves one after the other, and Desmond just nodded his head in reply. Suddenly, his gaze landed in a corner.

Mr. Jay noticed Desmond's gaze and saw an average-looking lady whose gaze was fixed on Desmond without blinking. "Won't you introduce yourself, Mina?" he asked.

"Huh," Mina was brought back to reality and realized that she was caught red-handed staring at Desmond. She stood up, clenched her skirt tightly, and stammered, "I... I am Mina, a nineteen-year-old medicine student. You are welcome to our department." Her voice was barely audible, but it was loud enough in the silent class.

Desmond stared at Mina for a while before nodding his head, his thoughts unknown.

Mr. Jay nodded his head in satisfaction and turned to Desmond. "You should have the front seat on the third row."

Desmond did not reply and went to sit.

"Alright, students, I will leave you to the break. Take your time getting along with the newcomer," Mr. Jay said and left.

After Mr. Jay left, the whole class burst into murmurs. They were looking at Desmond's direction as they talked, and it was evident that their conversation topic was Desmond.

In a corner of the class, Mina couldn't help stealing a glance at Desmond. She felt nervous that Desmond would catch her again, so she used a textbook to hide her face while secretly staring at him.

Even though Mina was hiding her face, Desmond still noticed her gaze on him. In order not to embarrass her, he decided not to turn back. He took out a textbook from the table drawer and started reading. "As expected, human knowledge is really limited," he mused to himself as he flipped through the textbook.

At the business department, class A.

Dimitri was escorted by the class teacher, Mrs. Rose. Dimitri was as cold as usual, and the aura around him was very chilly that Mrs. Rose was shaking inwardly. If anyone dared to look into his bloody red eyes, they would feel as if something was crushing them. No one in the class spoke; no one even dared to admire Dimitri's handsomeness openly. Dimitri's presence represented fear in everyone's heart.

"Erm... erm..." Mrs. Rose cleared her throat. "He... he..." She forgot Dimitri's name instantly.

Dimitri looked at Mrs. Rose as if she was a lunatic. "Dimitri My," he replied. His voice was as cold as ice, leaving no room for reasoning. It would have been better if he had not spoken; immediately his voice sounded, everyone's expressions turned ugly, and even Mrs. Rose did not know what to say next.

Dimitri frowned dangerously and cast another look at Mrs. Rose. "What is wrong with this human?" he thought to himself, feeling disgusted at Mrs. Rose's slow reaction and response.

"Hum..." Mrs. Rose tried to look normal. "Dimitri is our new student. You all should get along well," she finally spoke.

Everyone was silent.

"Are you kidding? Who would make friends with the iceberg?" everyone thought.

Hearing no reply from the students, Miss Rose could roughly guess what was on their minds. She did not force them to reply, as she herself didn't even have the courage to do so. She asked Dimitri to sit in the front seat and left immediately.

No one spoke even after Mrs. Rose left; the class was abnormally silent.

Dimitri did not even bother about anyone; he had nothing to do, so he just placed his head on the table and closed his eyes.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief with the thought that Dimitri was asleep. One by one, they all left the class soundlessly.

Outside the class, two ladies breathed in a long sigh. "How unfortunate for us to have this iceberg in our class; I think I should transfer myself to class B," one of the girls sighed.

"Even though he is cold, I surprisingly like him. It's just that I dare not get close to him. When I looked into his eyes earlier, I felt like something was squeezing my heart," the other girl replied. "Maybe I should follow you and go to class B as well," she said.

"Lori, Molly, what are you both doing outside?" A pink-haired, beautiful lady in an expensive outfit appeared and questioned them. "I saw others running away when I was coming. Did you guys offend the teacher?" the lady asked.

"Kelly, you are back," the girl named Lori approached the beautiful lady named Kelly. "It would have been better if we had offended the teacher," she sighed.

"I am lost," Kelly frowned in confusion.

"It's like this," Molly explained the incident to her.

"A mere newcomer turned you all like this. What source of embarrassment this is," Kelly frowned.

"I will plead with you not to anger him. That guy is not ordinary at all. I was just planning to..." Before she could finish her statement, she caught sight of Dimitri heading outside. She shut her mouth immediately, dragged her two friends to one side in order not to block Dimitri's way, and she hid behind Molly out of fear.

Kelly's brows knitted as she looked at the entrance, seeing the handsome man that appeared in her sight. Her knitted brows turned into surprise. Lori had just explained the powerful aura that surrounded him but didn't describe how handsome he was. Her eyes were wide open, and she couldn't help but think, "What a perfectly made man! Mine! He must be mine no matter what it costs." Her gaze was fixed on Dimitri.

Dimitri seemed to notice Kelly's gaze as he stopped walking and glanced back. He gave her a deadly glare before turning around and leaving.

Kelly's heart was racing; no matter how much she tried, she couldn't calm down.

Seeing Kelly's abnormal behavior, Molly sighed. "Kelly, you better not have any ideas towards this guy; he is not approachable," she warned. And knowing that Kelly wouldn't listen to her, she dragged Lori, and they left.

Kelly was the young lady of the fourth-ranked wealthy family. Shewas the only lady in their family, and because of her special status, she was treated like a queen. Whatever she demanded or craved, she would have it no matter the cost. Even if she wanted someone else's boyfriend and was rejected, she would go as far as threatening the boy and ruining the family of his girlfriend. When she grew tired of a relationship, she would cast the person aside without warning, and it was considered lucky if she didn't ruin the person's life, especially those who rejected her from the start. She would go as far as destroying their whole family life.

She never listened to advice and preferred to have people listen to her. If someone failed to comply with her wishes, they would face consequences. People who were not wealthier than her were no different from pets in her eyes.

Despite her heart being in turmoil, Kelly's sole focus was on having Dimitri for herself. Her fixation on him clouded her judgment, and she was willing to go to great lengths to make him hers no matter the cost.
