Chapter 12 - Jin Cheng.
The Capital City of the dynasty.
Commerce Street.
Gluttonous God's merchant company headquarters.
This was the merchant company, the 2nd system user discovered by the NTR system, Jin Cheng established in the last 10 years.
Jin Cheng, being filled with knowledge of how to run a business through his system and the timely opportunities provided by the new incentives of the emperor, quickly rose through the ranks and is now one of the top 5 merchants in the dynasty.
Inside the lavish, 10-storied, gold-plated building, on the top floor, a man wearing a lavish gold and red dress, who was about 5'11, looked to weigh about 350 pounds, his belly fat plopped down over his belt. He was very fair-skinned, his cheeks ruddy and his squinting eyes glinted with cunning
He was reviewing documents about the profits of the previous month and also looking through various proposals by his trusted aides about what to invest in to continue growing.
As one of the main suppliers of weapons and food rations to the army in this war effort, he had made quite a bit of profit, but at the same time, he had also made a lot of enemies.
After the war ended completely, if he did not pivot into another field, his newly built empire would crumble, especially if the emperor withdrew the provisions he had implemented ten years back and the old noble trade houses also took action. Ten years was just too short to nurture a suitable force able to help him survive against the old noble houses.
But what provided him hope was the golden-coloured scroll with green thread intertwined in between, a green mountain picture imprinted on its back he held in his hands. It was the Decree of his Emperor informing him of the visit of his 2nd Empress, the Matriarch of the Richest clan in this region of dynasties, Gu Xian'er.
He had heard about her legendary status in the Dynasty. She was the oldest of the Emperor's wives but in terms of cultivation years, she was still considered a part of the younger generation. She had absolute control over her family, and her merchant company was entrenched in all the core industries of this dynasty.
It was rumoured that the war was funded in large part by her, and in exchange, the emperor gave her exclusive rights to trade in the Shadow Prison Kingdom. This decision seemingly drew a lot of resistance from the other noble houses but the Emperor's words were absolute and had no space for negotiation.
Not only was her prowess in making money excellent, but even her martial talent was at the top of her generation. She is rumoured to be at the peak of the Martial King realm and will probably break through within the next 20 years.
It may sound like a long time, but in this world, a person is considered to be of the younger generation until they are 300 years old.
This is because any accomplished martial artist will be a martial grandmaster and they have a lifespan of about 1500 to 2000 years.
After that is the biggest bottleneck for the cultivators of the dynasty. Passing the most between martial grandmaster and martial general is so difficult that only 1 in every 500 grandmasters make it and correspondingly, the lifespan also shoots up to 10,000 years. It is said that the empire has around 1000 Martial Generals, and each of them is a ruler of their own major force within the dynasty.
Jin Cheng, being a person chosen by his system was naturally talented and has reached the peak of Martial Grandmaster using his talents and the abundant resources at his disposal.
But now he was dealing with the 2nd Empress of the dynasty, a peak Martial King level powerhouse and an excellent merchant in her own right, Gu Xian'er of the Gu merchant clan.
While he was lost in his thoughts, a knock came from his door. He looked up and said, " Come in."
The door opened and Jin Cheng saw a very young lady walk through. She was wearing a gold and red dress adorned with shining jewels.
Jin Cheng recognized this dress as the one which was showcased by the Gu clan last year at their annual auction to show off their prowess. It was rumoured that this dress was made from the silk of a Half-step Martial King realm Golden Silk spider web.
It is said that the clan Matriarch, Gu Xian'er herself hunted this beast down and had the finest craftsmen weave her dress. This dress could withstand an attack from an initial Martial King realm fighter and still be unscathed after all the enhancements that were done to the dress.
What made Jin Cheng look stupefied was how hot Gu Xian'er herself looked in this dress.
The dress had a V-shaped cleavage line which started from her shoulder to her waist just above her lady parts. It completely exposed the middle of her chest and her navel to the outside world and the inner half of her breasts, the dress seemingly being barely held together by her nipples. Jin Cheng could even see the Empress's pink areola.
Her fair and naked belly was also exposed, and she had a golden piercing in her belly button, which had red rubies at the end, which swayed back and forth as she walked towards him.
As he watched Gu Xian'er mesmerized, she walked over and stood in front of him.
Her stature is dwarfed by the 6'11 Jin Cheng, while she is 4 feet tall. She looked at his dazed look and smiled.
"Have you looked at me enough?"
Jin Cheng snapped out of his reverie and instantly kneeled down.
"I'm sorry, Your Highness. I was blinded by your brilliance and lost myself for a moment."
"Hmph! You do know that disrespecting the Empress is worthy of the punishment of the highest order. What should I do?"
" Forgive me, Your Highness. This will not happen again." Jin Cheng said in a service manner.
"Well, if you kiss my feet, then I'll forgive you. What do you say to that?" Gu Xian'er grinned with a mischievous smile.
Jin Cheng didn't even hesitate. He kneeled down on both legs, bent his head down, and kissed Gu Xian'er's 2 pristine feet.
Gu Xian'er nodded, satisfied by his act and said, " Get up. We have a lot to discuss."
