Chapter 26: Primordial Spring

This was exactly the place they saw moments ago, full of life and wonders. How was it in ruins now?

"This is the real Zara World," Dao Wei spoke as he pondered the relationship between this place and the Primordial Chaos Scripture.

Zara World is one of the many Secret Realms that exist. A Secret Realm is a type of dimensional world hidden in space where countless treasures as well dangers co-exist. There is always a natural barrier formed outside the mouth of a secret realm which can only be opened naturally or by force. To be opened naturally, it usually took a lot of time to open. Probably five to ten years.

Some secret realms also take almost a hundred or even thousands of years just to open again naturally. But if one wanted to open a secret realm by force, they should have at least a very high level of cultivation, at least the cultivation realm above the Transcendence Realm. And not only that, maybe, even with ten such cultivators, the secret realm may not open.

Because of this, experts always prefer to let the secret realm open naturally. They did not want to forcefully open a secret realm.

The strength of the secret realms also differs in many ways. Some secret realms can be opened by just one expert who has already surpassed the Martial Emperor Realm.

A secret realm can be an Ancient battlefield where a war was once fought or it can even be a destroyed home of some powerful mighty being. It can be an ancient country of some powerful civilization or it can be a whole continent. A secret realm can be any abandoned land. But one thing is certain, there exist many rare treasures as well as many terrible dangers.

Anyway, the main point is that a secret realm is also known as the vault of treasures as well as the world of dangers. But what treasure can be obtained by anyone without encountering any danger.

Once a secret realm opens, many experts go inside in order to obtain treasures but maybe not even half of them could not return safely. This is the terror of the secret realm but even so every time, experts fight against each other in order to go inside the secret realm.

Almost every secret realm also has its own rules and only experts below a certain level of cultivation can enter inside it.

"Let's go deeper. Maybe we can find the Legacy left behind. Cultivating here will also have great benefits to us. We shouldn't let it go to waste." Dao Wei was now excited.

As they ventured deeper into the ruins, the atmosphere grew heavy with an ancient, almost tangible energy. The air shimmered with latent power, and the remnants of once-mighty structures hinted at the grandeur that had once been Zara World. They passed broken statues of gods and mythical creatures, their eyes seeming to follow the pair as they moved forward.

Suddenly, a low growl echoed through the ruins.

Dao Wei's senses went on high alert, and he motioned for Liu Mingxia to stay back.

Emerging from the shadows was a massive beast, its body covered in dark scales that seemed to absorb the light. Its eyes glowed with a malevolent red, and it bared its fangs in a snarl.

"A Pixu!," Dao Wei murmured. "It must be protecting something important."

The Guardian Pixu charged, its movements swift and powerful despite its size. Dao Wei drew his sword, its blade humming with energy as he prepared to engage the beast. The Guardian Pixu lunged, and Dao Wei met its attack head-on, their clash sending shockwaves through the air.

Clang!

Dao Wei's swordsmanship was impeccable, each strike precise and deadly. He utilized the Void Sword technique, his blade slicing through the air with fluid grace. The Guardian Beast was relentless, its claws and teeth deadly weapons, but Dao Wei's agility and skill kept him just out of reach.

Liu Mingxia watched in awe as Dao Wei fought, his movements a blur of speed and precision. The Guardian Beast roared, unleashing a torrent of dark energy.

Dao Wei countered with the Dragon Palm technique, his hand glowing with golden light as he deflected the attack and sent a shockwave of energy back at the beast.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The Guardian Beast staggered but quickly regained its footing, its eyes burning with rage.

It charged again, this time faster and more ferocious.

Dao Wei anticipated its movements, using the Ethereal Step technique to dodge its attacks with supernatural speed. He seemed to vanish and reappear, his form flickering like a mirage.

Performing some delicate swift strikes, Dao Wei channeled his Qi into his sword, its blade glowing with a brilliant light.

"Void Sword."

Dao Wei lunged at the Guardian Beast, his sword piercing through its scales and striking its heart.

Clang!

The beast let out a deafening roar before collapsing to the ground, its body disintegrating into particles of light.

Dao Wei stood over the fallen beast, his breath steady as he sheathed his sword.

Liu Mingxia approached, her eyes filled with admiration and relief. "That was incredible," she said, her voice trembling slightly.

"You didn't even break a sweat!"

Dao Wei smiled faintly. "The Beast was strong, but it was bound to this place. Its power was limited by the ruins."

As they continued deeper into the ruins, they discovered a shimmering lake. Inside, they found Primordial Spring water, its surface made of otherworldly glow. In the center of the altar lay a crystal orb, pulsating with a soft, ethereal light.

Primordial Spring was formed by Heaven and Earth's Spiritual Energy. It contained extremely refined Spiritual Power, it was much better at promoting cultivation compared to Spirit-cultivating pills. However, the formation of Primordial Spring required very rare conditions, making it extremely valuable.

Additionally, the demand for Primordial Spiritual Liquid was extraordinarily high, even Warriors in the Saint Perfection Realm, immortals, demons, and even gods would fight for the Primordial Spring. Therefore, there were few Warriors who were able to get the Primordial Spring in all three realms, let alone those in Jiangling.

Although there was some Primordial Spring in the Black Market and Martial Market, the effect on cultivators was insignificant due to the small amount.

"The Primordial Spring?" Dao Wei said, his eyes fixed on the lake.

"Such a find! I wonder how much of the Primordial Spring is in there."

Liu Mingxia reached out, her fingers brushing against the water's surface. She felt a surge of energy, ancient and profound, flow through her. "This... this is incredible," she whispered.

Dao Wei nodded. "This is really a once-in-a-lifetime luck!." He had a smirk on his face.

Primordial Spring was the most purest Spiritual Liquid, as it contained almost no impurities. It took about 5 Yuan periods. 1 yuan equals 129 600 years.

As they stood before the lake, the weight of their discovery settled over them. They had found the Primordial Spring, a treasure of unimaginable power. And with it, they would forge their own path.

Without hesitation, Dao Wei walked into the center of the lake and began to cultivate in the lake.

By cultivating in the lake, he could absorb the Primordial Spring surrounding him and turn it into Spiritual Power. For an ordinary person, it would take a considerable amount of time to absorb all the Primordial Spring in the lake, but Dao Wei was different.
