Mysterious Undercurrents. Luu's Change

Somewhere in the vast world of darkness, a black mountain stood tall.

The black mountain radiated an aura of death and hell that spread toward the vast dark world, causing the natural laws to submit and space to be dominated.

There, atop the mountain was an ancient figure draped in old depilated robes, standing alone as he gazed into a faraway place with his hands behind his back. He looks at the horizon of the dark sky for some time before shifting his glaze.

"Summoned the 9th generation Holy Daughter." He said it slowly, but his ancient voice echoed through space and traveled throughout the world, leaving no place unheard of his command.

Whizz!

Not much time had passed, a white ray of light traveled through the sky and landed on top of the dark mountain where the ancient figure stood.

The white light disappeared it landed on the mountain, and a figure of a girl in a dark dress appeared.

"Head Ancestor, Death Hell Family, 9th generation Holy Daughter Darklotus responded to your summons." the girl kneeled with her head bowed and her dark robes touching the ground. Her features were exceptional but except for her beautiful dark hair cascading down her shoulder, her face couldn't be seen because of a dark shawl that dapped down from her head; covering her face.

The old man didn't respond immediately and the girl also remained silent, the environment fell into strange silence. It was only when the figure spoke that the silence was broken.

"Daughter of the ninth generation, even with your declining results as a title holder and disappointment in the Family, but on account of your father's service to the Family, I will give you a chance to fight for the rights of your life."

The girl shudders upon hearing the unfathomable old man who seems to carry the world at his back.

"This young one thank the Head Ancestor."

The ancient figure didn't seem to care and continued, "This is a matter of great importance, so no mistake shall be allowed. The Empress requested the presence of a younger generation on the Other Side and you shall go to her place."

The girl's body trembles even more hearing the name being mentioned. To the whole family that name weighs heavier than a thousand mountains and thousands of seas.

"Take my token and see the current Family Master and take everything you need and make haste to the long-distance Teleportation Platform..." the old man moved his hand and a black token that was familiar to the people taking the trial of masters fell into the girl's hands.

The girl held onto the token that was similar to theirs, but it was different it existed in terms of aura was like the heavens compared to earth.

The girl looked at the top that could be seen written: Ancestor of the Death Hell Family, but anything below that was supposed to see one name, age, and Unity level couldn't be seen and there were only blurs.

The girl's body swayed slightly and felt a splitting headache just by glancing at the unseen information. Still, she quickly surpassed her reaction remembering she was in the presence of the most powerful person in the Family below one person.

"Darklotus, thanks the Ancestor." she quickly thank the person.

"Thanking me? Haha… never mind," the old man slightly laughed in a very eccentric manner for some time, before saying in a serious manner again, "Remember that whatever I have said remained here, and here only,"

"Darklotus understands,"

"Hmm… you can go."

As soon as he said that, the same white light descended and covered the girl; enveloping her body, before being carried away somewhere.

The world returned to its usual dark and gloomy atmosphere as the light disappeared.

The ancient figure was left standing there alone and glazing into somewhere in thoughts,

"It looks like she has chosen someone. If so… "

"Could it be related to one of the people that had triggered the phenomenon throughout The Boundaries?"

The ancient figure sighed, before walking into a cave not far away.

"These abnormal entities caused the whole of The Boundaries to shake this time… I hope she is prepared, or else one wrong step and the Family may even be erased from existence." The ancient figure disappeared along with his remanents voice, leaving the world to turn in a void-like state; unexcitable.

In another place where an expanse of verdant lush forests existed, along with a great aura of life and joyfulness flourishing everywhere.

There, in front of a great tree that stood taller than the sky and wider than the sea, was the figure of a mature woman in a red and green dress.

The woman had an ethereal beauty that couldn't be compared or comprehended by any mortal concept. Her beautiful and graceful red-green patterned dress adorned her tall and godly figure that could bring the downfall of worlds. Her soft smile entranced the gods and the vermillion pupils that seemed to hide her fierceness, with her snow-white skin and long crimson hair mad her whole being into the most perfect creation of the universe.

The woman gently touched the great tree with her slender finger, causing some unnoticeable changes that caused her to glaze upon it for some time. Then she turned around from the tree, causing some ethereal changes to the surroundings.

Her red eyes glazed at the person who remained bowed in his knees with some thought and her usual soft smile.

"Some disturbances have happened to The Boundaries," her voice sounded beautifully entrancing, she spoke as her phoenix eyes stared into the soul of the person that was present.

"Three trial takers are involved in this and their whereabouts… are unknown. I suspect some supreme beings have taken their initiative to find them and one even seemed to have been found, and hidden."

"The reason I have called you here is to assign you to find one of them and bring them to me," The woman slowly spoke, her entrancing voice containing a certain fierceness that shuddered the heart, "Or do not come back here…"

As she finished, her voice disappeared; bringing a lively and joyful ambiance to the environment.

The person kneeling who had lush long red hair heaved an undetectable sigh, he looked at the woman standing near the great tree and said with extreme determination,

"This subject understood, Great Verdent Phoenix."

As he announced the words, a familiar white light descended upon him and shifted his body toward somewhere only they knew of.

The woman looked up at the sky and watched them vanish, she stood there for a long time unmoving, and muttered some words under her breath,

"Fateless…"

In the outer layer of the Other Side.

The sound of a killing and the clashing sounds of weapons resounded through a forest.

"Luu at your back!" A familiar voice resounded from the group, calling out to a familiar name.

Luu who was wearing a blood-stained robe and was fighting an opponent turned as she swung her sword toward the person who had appeared at her back.

The person immediately retreated as the tip of her sword passed only a centimeter away from his face.

Luu didn't turn to the person instead, she attacked even more fiercely at the opponent she had been fighting. Right now, she couldn't be distracted as she was in a battle of life and death.

The person who warned her was a grey-robed girl with dark eyes and an exhausted look.

If White and Aizu were here, they would immediately recognize her and a bulky youth not far away from her.

Previously, they fled from the place where White and Golden clashed and got lost, before encountering a group and joining them, and right now, they were in a battle for survival.

Luu looked at her opponent; who was profusely bleeding. She was a beautiful lady initially but after their battle, they both got injured, but her opponents got off worse than her.

She had never been so concentrated and determined as now, she had to kill her opponents or they would kill her; this was a fact she had been forced to understand.

Squinting her eyes, she dashed and struck with her swords, but her opponent was ready and easily deflected it. Luu had expected this, so she kicked with her legs into the weakest part of the opponent's abdomen causing her to fly back.

Luu didn't give up and chased with her sword pointed at her opponent's throat ready to kill! Her opponent desperately tried to block her sword but it was impossible without a shield, in her last attempt to block Luu's sword, it pierced into her wrist.

"Ahh!" her opponent screamed miserably.

Luu's mind had been sharpened and refined from some battles and she didn't waste the chances.

Putting all her strength on the hilt of the sword she pushed the tip of the blade toward the opponent's throat with all her strength.

"Please– plea…" her opponents pleaded in fear.

At that moment her opponent stopped moving; dead in all form as a sword pierced her throat.

Luu didn't look at the least happy defeating her opponent instead, tears were swelling in her eyes looking at the life she took.

But she had to do it or else it would be her who would be killed.

"I'm sorry– sorry,"

She shakily retreated back with her sword, shedding tears from the guilt of taking lives after lives, 'Why do we have to kill each other… isn't there a better way for all to share?'

But her thought was short-lived as she saw her true sister Ruu besieged by the person who tried to ambush her before. At that moment, all of her previous emotions disappeared into an icy lake and a cold aura permitted her beings.

Thats right…

There was no one to save her… or her sister. If she didn't stand up and save her, who would?
