Who would have thought that holding an arranged marriage benefits me so much? I have been planning to get out of my own family, and thanks to the head lady of the house who always wanted to kick me out after my mother passed away.

"I have to live with you? I don't want to be under any other people's rules anymore."
"No, you will live freely as you want. You don't have to do anything if you don't want to." 
"I don't want to be involved with your business...I don't know exactly what you do, Mr. Kaiza, but I don't want to be involved with anything like my father does."
"I understand." 

I pick up the glass in front of him and try to raise it, but he puts his hand on it to cover the top of the glass.

"Hmph."
I make a sound and pout my lips

I put my upper lip on top of the glass, touching his finger and bottom lip at the outside edge, and raise the glass as the liquid runs through his fingers into my mouth. And I look at him. His eyes are slightly startled, but I barely see it through the red light on him.

He slightly pulls back his hand.

"This girl..."
He's mumbling.

I lick the liquid on the edge of my mouth.

"Yes, it's a deal."
"Are you going to treat me well, Mr. Kaiza?"
I speak vocally this time. What is this drink?

"Yes."
"Treat me nicely like your real fiancé, alright?"

Suddenly, my head is too heavy to carry on my neck. He uses his hand to hold my face before I hit the table. And he moves himself to sit next to me.

"You are my real fiancé."
He gently touches my hair and puts it behind my ear. I barely open my eyes.

"But first of all, I need to take care of the guys who kidnapped you here."

And that is just the beginning of a significant change.

Sovereign City

The old man was sitting on his usual mat facing his favorite garden. His grandson was sitting next to him, but there was a tiny tea table between them.

"Drink this, I heard you haven't rested well."

"Drink tea this late. I surely don't sleep tonight."

He drank the tea, as the old man said.

"You didn't call me here this late for tea, did you?"

"Only Hendric's left...He's quite close to Charon."

"Hmm...He's so deep in his immoral needs...might be tough work for you."

He answered and drank the tea again.

"Are you sure? With all the other stuff, too?"

"If you mean Miss Zephyra's business, the first step is almost done."

"I'm glad to hear that...and she will too."

"I heard you took her to the association today."

He tried hiding his curiosity about her but decided to ask and drank the tea again.

"Thank you for considering her, grandfather."

"I must thank you. You, Kai...for letting me know her...she's quite a joy...pure light...it's been a long time since this house had a little sunlight.. too much red...and too much blood."

"You have a great eye, haha. She's surely a unique one."

The old man explained his thoughts about a young lady in this house and glanced at his grandson, who was smiling.

"But how are things between you two? Am I going to have a tiny little toe?"

"No, I don't know, sir...we haven't talked much..."

"Hmm, do you really want to marry her? If not, I'll find the great, suitable man for her instead of you."

"What are you talking about? I'm your grandson."

"So? She's quite a catch, and people can easily fall in love with her if they know her true self."

"Are you teasing me or something?"

"No, I tell the truth. There's one man in the association.."

"He has something...how can I put it into words...A spark? Yeah, he has a spark when they talk, and she seemed to be herself and goofy around him.."

"Step up, child; the good ones or the perfect ones can be found widely, but only the one who really suits you is hard to have...and once you have, hold on preciously."

"Because you'll never know when she slips away."

"They're quite close...he's her sensei, but it's not a problem because Furan is very mature and calm."
