Before we got there, the five Takaki men arrived before us and did their best to get rid of the people who guard the place. I heard the scream from inside. High-pitched scream again and again. 

"What 's going on!?"

I ask.

Then, a new group of people entered the building, which looked like a storehouse. Another five Takaki men hurriedly come in between and fight and beat them up before they get inside.

"Screammm!!"

I flinch. Kaiza holds me in.

"I have to go inside."

I say to him.

"No! They can save them, Zephyra."

"If there's more of them inside?..The kids?"

"BOOOM!!"

My ears...

My sight is blurry, and my ears hear nothing, only the highest-pitched sound ringing in my ears.

I try to get up from the ground, and I see Kaiza's face facing me and trying to hold me up.

"Zep---Can----me?"

I only see his mouth moving, but can't hear his voice.

"Get---in---car!!"

"!!"

Then, I can hear everything again and see the fire burning on the right side of the building.

Kaiza holds me in. He tries to drag me out.

"No! The kids!!""

I shout.

"It's dangerous!"

I shake him off, and then Jodai runs past me and into the building.

"No!! Jodai!"

I scream.

He tilts his head a little, but I can't see his face, and he quickly continues inside.

"I have to get inside.."

Kaiza's holding me so tight, locking me in his body.

"Jay!"

Kaiza calls Jay, and then he runs after Jodai inside the half-wrecked building.

Suddenly, a group of kids and younger people run out to the left side of the building.

"Kaiza.."

I point to them.

I hurriedly run to them, tell them, and take them to the safety spot behind the car where Kaiza is standing.

There's a car stop beside ours, and the blonde-haired guy exits the car and comes to Kaiza. 

I'm sorry I'm late.

"Take them to a safe place."

"...I'll handle it...Guys, get them to the car."

"I'm coming here to save you, so don't be scared. Alright? They came here to save you. Get in, get in. You're saved. Yes, hurry."

The blonde guy tells them to get into the truck.

They are all kids and women.

I ask.

Then Jay comes out.

"Is that all of them?"

Kaiza asks.

"I see no one left, sir."

"Jodai?..Where is Jodai?"

"...I thought he was following me!"

Then the fire is burning harder, and the flames are getting higher, spreading to the center.

"Thug!"

And then the roof falls down to the entrance.

"No! Jodai!"

I scream.

"Kaiza!! Jodai is in there. Please let me go after him!"

"No! It's dangerous!!"

"I'll go, sir!"

Jay is about to get inside again.

"Thug!"

And the building is falling down around the center.

"Please, Kaiza!"

I turn to see him.

He holds me and holds my messy face, which has tears running down my face.

"Zephyra..."

He calls me and kisses me on the lips.

"Ha...no.."

"Jay!! Take care of her for me."

He shouts at Jay and,

He lets go of his hands and runs toward the fire.

"NO!!"

"Master!"

"Kaiza, don't leave me!!"

I yell at him as I run after him.

"Ah!"

And then Jay catches me first.

"No, Lady Zephyra!"

"Let go of me, Jay!!"

"Master will come back. He will come back."

Jay drags me out of the hottest flame in front of me.

It shouldn't be like this...No...please. Kaiza...

"Jay..please.. let me go..."

"The firefighter will be here in a second... please hold on."

"No..it might be too late...please let me go."

I shake my body to the core, and my tears run down as I watch the orange and red fire burn every single part into black burnt. The building is crumbling as the words Grandma has said to me flash up in my brain.

'No matter what you do or the choice you make. If you think it's right for you, then forget what people think…Karma will take its own way…including yours'.

This is it?...The karma that I have received from trying to do the right things.

I can't lose him.

I shake my body from my full strength and lose out on Jay's arms. I quickly run to the building.

Jay screams.

The siren sound comes in as I jump into the fire.

I see nothing but the flames.

"Kaiza!!!"

I shout.

"Cough, cough." 

"Kaiza!!, Jodai!!"

I call them and try to find the way.

I bring myself to death.

Please…where is Kaiza?...Don't let him die…Don't let them die…

"AH!!"

I scream while the pole falls down in front of me.

"Kaiza!!"

"ha.. ha"

The sound of panting.

And I see the black shadow facing me behind the burning pole.

"Zephr…ra cough! What.."

"Kaiza.."

I see him holding Jodai, who is collapsed.

I'm about to go to him.

"Don't. Cough cough. Stay there."

I hurried to take off my blazer and lay on top of the pole.

Kaiza drags Jodai while crossing the obstacle.

I quickly grab Kaiza and help him cross. And hold Jodai on another side.

We are holding him and trying to get out.

Then, the water dripping in multiple dots slightly comes inside.

I feel a little relieved.

The hard water rushes inside, covering the hot flame around the entrance and showing us the way out.

Then the firemen rush in and hold Jodai's body and Kaiza, including me.

I watch them helping Jodai and giving him oxygen.

I watch his mouth intensely. I stare inside the gas mask, hoping that the white fog will appear and cover the clear mask.

I see it.

I exhale so hard that I lay down on the ground and let the nurse help me with my breathing.

"Ha...Kaiza..."

I breathe in and exhale his name under the mask.

And I see the man pulling out his gas mask, holding me up, and hugging me.

"Kaiza?"

I pull the gas mask out.

"You're an idiot."

He scolds me.

"Ha...You too."

I hug him back.

"Why on earth did you do that..? Don't ever..Don't."

His raspy voice is shaking like crazy.

"Then you shouldn't leave me here...alone.."

"Ha…"

He's puffing.

"I can't let you die…I take any karma, but not this."

I tell him and hold him tight, and my tears drop on his shoulder like a river.

He loses his arms and holds my face to look at him. He wipes my tears off my cheek.

"We're doing it together, right?... Then don't leave me behind…"

I tell him.

I'm trying to hold back my tears.

Then he holds my face to kiss. He locks my neck and gives me a deeper kiss.

He tells me and holds me in.
