Chapter 7: Fight

A few weeks went by peacefully, during which time Coey and Lydia became good friends. Coey and Kalle also remained deskmates.

The relationship with classmates became more and more familiar. During this period, Coey was often verbally abused by Rita, but Coey did not take it seriously.

Coey originally thought that life would continue peacefully until graduation, but he never expected that one day someone would break Coey's beautiful fantasy.

In the cafeteria, Coey and Lydia sat on a bench and ate lunch together. "We have been late for a week in a row, otherwise we can buy a ham sandwich."

Coey looked at the egg sandwich in his hand and was a little tired of it. "Just bear with it. Tomorrow we have physical education class before the end of get out of class. The teacher will let us go to the cafeteria early."

Lydia took a bite of the egg sandwich. "If I can't buy a ham sandwich tomorrow, I will bring my own ham slices to the high school." Coey was amused by Lydia. "Your idea is good. I think it is very suitable."

At this time, Rita and her group of followers passed by Coey and Lydia and deliberately stayed beside Coey and Lydia. "Hahaha, if I killed my parents, I would definitely not have the face to come to school again. Hahaha."

"What did you say?" Coey paused eating the sandwich, and Lydia looked at Rita and the others in confusion and asked.

"Oh! I'm so sorry, I didn't notice you here hahaha." Rita deliberately patted Coey's shoulder with her hand. "You said it, Coey. I'm not wrong."

"How did you know?" Coey never thought that the news of his parents' death in a car accident would be known to others. "Umm, of course I found your information on Erica's desk. To be honest, you hid this news very well. I'm afraid no one in this high school knows about it. Hahaha."

Rita laughed arrogantly with her followers after she finished speaking. Lydia looked at Coey worriedly. "Coey, are you okay?"

Rita, who had not walked far away, heard Lydia's words. She spoke to Lydia in a very loud voice. "Of course she is fine. If she had something wrong, she would not come to class."

Coey closed her eyes tightly. She could no longer bear Rita's playing with the death of her parents. Coey suddenly stood up and scared Lydia. "Coey, what's wrong with you?"

Coey ran to Rita's direction. Rita was joking with her followers with a plate and did not notice that someone was running towards her from behind.

Coey grabbed Rita's golden curly hair with his left hand and took the opportunity to slap Rita several times with his right hand. "Your mouth stinks. Did you not brush your teeth this morning? I tell you, it doesn't matter how you insult me, but I've decided not to allow you to insult my parents like this!"

Coey's action was too fast, and no one else in the cafeteria reacted. It was not until Rita was pinned to the ground and slapped several times by Coey that Rita's followers reacted.

They also joined the chaos, punching and kicking Coey who was fighting alone. But Coey still held Rita's hair tightly, and even held on tightly as his body moved with the beating.

Lydia was frightened and she joined the chaos regardless of anything in order to save Coey. She tried to pull Coey out of the chaos. But it was still useless, and she was beaten instead.

There were many more people watching the excitement in the cafeteria and making a fuss on the side, while others had already gone to report to the teacher.

Drew happened to be near the corridor. He learned the whole story from the students who came to notify him and knew that the student who fought was Coey.

Kalle, who saw all this not far away, was already amazed by Coey's bold action. This was the first time he showed full interest in a girl. It was also the first time he looked at Coey with new eyes.

He couldn't help showing a strong interest in Coey in his eyes.

Drew came to the cafeteria angrily, "Stop it! Stop fighting!" Drew, who was always kind and amiable, was so terrible when he got angry. All the people involved in the fight stopped their actions.

Lydia hurriedly pulled Coey up. She was just a little messy in her hair and was not hurt. But Coey was beaten by a group of people, and her situation was worse than Lydia.

Coey's hair was not only messy, but her clothes were also messy. The most serious thing was that Coey's cheek was scratched by some unknown sharp weapon, and there was a bleeding wound on her cheek.

"Why are you fighting! All those who participated in the fight should go to the principal's office." Drew said angrily and walked in front, and the rest of the people followed him obediently.
