Chapter 11: Is you??!!

The next day, Coey and Lydia went shopping together as scheduled. They went shopping at the shopping mall near the town.

"Look, Coey! This is a skirt I saw on the social platform yesterday. I didn't expect to see it here." Coey looked in the direction of Lydia's finger and saw a very beautiful short skirt being worn by a model.

Lydia trotted to the skirt and said, "I didn't expect the real thing to be a hundred times better than the picture." Coey followed Lydia and saw that the skirt was indeed as beautiful as Lydia said.

"Coey, should we try it on to see if it fits?" Coey just agreed when he heard a familiar voice behind him.

"Uh huh, this skirt is not suitable for everyone." Lydia retorted without hesitation. "Rita, what do you mean? Didn't you learn enough from the last time in school?"

Rita looked at Coey and Lydia with a squint and turned to the man next to her. "Baby, I want this skirt. Buy it for me."

Lydia was so angry that she wanted to punch Rita when she saw that she was ignored. "We saw this skirt first, how can you cut in line?" Lydia continued to argue with Rita.

"You saw it first? Hahaha, this is the funniest joke I've heard this year. Let's not talk about the price of this skirt that you saw first. Can you afford it? It really makes me laugh."

Lydia was really shocked when she saw the price. What kind of fabric would cost 500 US dollars for a skirt.

"Are you scared? I tell you, if you don't have money, don't go shopping like others." Coey couldn't listen any more.

"What you said is wrong. Who stipulated that poor people can't go out shopping? Is it a new law issued by the city government?" Rita was speechless.

"Anyway, you can't afford it. Don't argue with me." Lydia shrugged nonchalantly.

"It's not that we can't afford it, but we think it's not worth spending 500 US dollars on a skirt. Since you have more money than you can spend, then you can buy it. Coey, let's go." Lydia pulled Coey out of the store.

"Rawr... Don't leave! Really... Baby, can you buy it for me?" The man next to Rita touched her head and said to the clerk.

"Swipe the card." The clerk took the bank card with a smile, but soon looked embarrassed.

"Sorry, sir, your card shows insufficient balance..." The man couldn't believe it, he took out another card and said "Try again!"
